I've always wanted to try out Final Fantasy, but I never really got to.

I know there's like, a million games now, and I really wanna try it out. So which game do y'all think is good to start with?

I've heard X-2 was, but I wanna get a second opinion. lol

I would have to ask first what system? If its GBA then get the FF 1 and 2 because if you dont like one you can play the other. When i got into the FF fad i started at 1 because you can choose your characters instead of they're chosen for you. Thats my opinion but it always helps to start at level 1!

X-2 would be the WORSE one to start off with.
Besides that, any of them work.
I prefer Final Fantasy VII, but that is the hardest one...if your looking for a easy one to beat, go with Final Fantasy IX, or Final Fantasy X.

Try out Final Fantasy 6 or 9. Both have good storys and are not to difficult, well as RPGs go anyway.

JS: Nope, it doesn't really matter what order you play any final fantasy games in as they arnt really connected, apart from obvious sequals.
Oh except for final fantasy X-2, that one is a sequal so it would make more sense to play final fantasy X before X-2.

There are two that I consider the best with another two tying for second place. The two in first place would be Final Fantasy 6 & 9, with 4 & 7 taking second place, in third place would be 1, the rest all are below that. I would say play six first as it has one of the best storylines and one of the most challenging final bosses.

Well I am old school allllll the way I would go get a regular nintendo get the ol' final fantasy 1 catridge and play away. I still play it and final fantasy 3(japanese) well translated on my emulator they are loads of fun. This will definitely introduce you to the series and get a good idea of what its really like. Then you can brag to all of your friends that you have a regular nintendo and they will be drooling over it, considering they are kinda uncommon nowadays

The DS one, FF 3/4 are really good for begginers. The third one isn't even that hard. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is a really good one if you are a Fire Emblem Junkie. (like meh).
