So you wanna be the greatest Robot in all of the..ring? OF COURSE YOU DO!! Well look no further for I will be your guide as you set your robofeet firmly down on the mat and put up your dukes for some INTENSE punching action!

Rule 1: A.B.A.G.
"Always Brings your A Game"!
Don't ever enter the ring without being prepared! Make sure you got your joints greased up and a fresh coat of red, blue, green, yellow, or white paint, depending on your robot fighter color of choice! You want to look your best before pulverizing your enemies with your swift jabs and punishing left hooks! Also, don't forget to study up on your robot boxing! There is a wealth of information found in the instruction manual for the original Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots toys from the 1970s!! Or you could use wikipedia!!! LOTS OF INFO!

Rule 2: Punch a LOT
The secret to victory lies within your hands! With your right fist you will be punching your adversary, and with your left fist...you will be punching your adversary also. The key to winning any Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots fight is by successfully PUNCHING your opponent a great number of times until eventually they will explode into bolts, gears, nuts and possibly even catch fire!

Rule 3: Don't get punched a lot!
Getting punched a lot hurts whether you are a human being or a Rock 'em Sock 'em Robot. Just because you are a giant deathdealing punch machine that feels no pain does not mean that you cannot be defeated! In order to be the best punch machine, you must DO the punching rather than BE punched.

Another thing to take note of: JUMPING is a fantastic new feature of Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots that allows you to better avoid being punched in the face. The Red Rocker and Blue Bomber are both able to leap daintily in the air at double their own height! This new gameplay mechanic was never before used in previous installments from this classic series and is a welcome addition! So the next time that dirty Blue Bomber tries to punch your in the face take the advice of David Lee Roth; might as well JUMP! Go ahead and jump.

Rule 4: Punch HARDER!
While punching a lot will get you far, punching even harder will win you the fights. Sure, you can just punch punch punch like a simple automaton, but why do that when you can punch 'em so hard that their head pops right off their body? Holding down the punch button will let your Robot charge up his/her punch from regular punch to MAXIMUM PUNCH. It is far more damaging and makes your opponent cry when you succeed. Always remember that charging up to MAXIMUM PUNCH will leave your Robot vulnerable to attack so try to remember to jump out of the way before attempting this! BUT dont be TOO far away because then you will punch the air, and that is not your opponent. The other robot is your opponent, so punch it!

RULE 5: The Final Rule
The final rule is to be a good sport! Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots' Red Rocker and Blue Bomber have been punching the heads off of other robots and making them explode for almost 50 years and they are getting old! These robots do not hate, they are robots and only do what they are made to do. They are fighting eachother so that you will be entertained and so that you will not go out into the world and try to punch someone else's head off. So have yourself some fun and play Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots. Its not a great game but it is a game that you can play if you want to make robots punch other robots heads off.

All sarcasm aside this game was terrible. Clunky in appearance, shallow, and really very much all you can expect from a game that carries the title of Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots. Its really very cheaply made and if you want a better experience I suggest you just get the toy. They can't jump like the ones in this game but you never really needed them to anyway? Who jumps in boxing besides Little Mac when he super uppercuts Soda Popinski in the face? Oh well, all rambling aside I do not think anyone will ever need a guide for this game but I just felt that a full on review was not really needed either so I went with what seemed like a more fun idea. And with that said I bid you adieu and good gaming everyone!

WHOA! I had completely forgotten that they made a game based off that toy! I remember the toy being fun to use, but I guess the video game version was as bad as I expected before reading this. I'm so glad I was a teen by the time GBA was out so Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots no longer interested me, it would've been a HUGE waste of money to get this game and even now it would be a huge waste of time. Kudos to you for giving it more attention than it seemingly deserves. I tip my hat to you, sir.
