What is with the clubs being made in general chat? I haven't seen anything about the making of clubs by David or any other high up people. So why are they being made?

I don't know if David ever made a formal forum announcement about the user groups, but I know he posted his plans for this feature in the dev forum a while back.

The proposed details on the Club Group were as follows:

"Club Group
The only way to become a member is to get invited by a member of the group. You can only get kicked out by someone who was part of the group before you. There really is no true leader, basically a person's powerlevel is based on the order they became a member.

Ideal for fan clubs where users share something in common.

Price: 1000 Viz"

There are supposed to be many other groups either already in play or in the works. These include Team Group, TdV Team Group (obviously only for TdV), Gang/Squad Group, Clan Group, Circle Group, and League Group.

Each one has a different structure in regards to how you can join, who leads it, and who can kick members out. They also have different price points to start one up.
