Honestly, I have not. But, my sister, SuperYoshi, almost got him by a car before I left for Basic Training back in August. Not 2 minutes, a woman that was walking behind us a good bit got hit at about 20 miles per hour. I dropped bag full of crap, threw my back pack with my laptop and breakables (thank goodness nothing was broken), and ran to help her. She was o.k. . She only had a few cuts and scrapes, but nothing serious. But personally, I have never been hit by a car.

thing1 : whoa, that must have been a pretty scary experience. whew, god thank. cause the event  took place that could have been a lot worse.

I got hit by a car.... sort of.  Luckily, I was paying attention and just being stupid.  I saw that a car was stopped at the red light, and that the driver wasn't looking to both sides of the street to see if there were any pedestrians.  The light was about to change though, and I didn't want to miss my chance to get across the cross walk.  Therefore, I chose to risk the possibility of him not looking, and I pedaled forward as fast as I could.

Well, since I WAS watching him, I noticed as he started to pull forward, and I jumped off my bike in a nick of time.  He ended up scraping the skin off my leg, but my bike slipped under his tires and was completely totaled.  I loved that bike so much, and I didn't even notice the blood dripping down my leg.  I was just calling out to him frantically:  "My bike! You're on my bike!  Get off my bike!"  He on the other hand, was shocked and worried about me..... he didn't understand why I was begging him to get back in his car and back up.... hehe.

I never got hit by a car, but I broke my foot because my cousins ran over my foot with a golf cart. Luckily it wasn't a good golf cart. THHHANNNKKK YOU FAMILY CHEAPNESS!

I was almost hit by motorcycles a few times, and I'm always using pedestrians mind you. Thanks to those motorcycle riders who don't understand that the cars in front of them might have stopped because someone was crossing the road and they try to overtake the cars and even go faster instead of slowing down... Isn't the pedestrian enough of a clue for them? Like, hey, it's a pedestrian, slow down, someone might be using it.   

There was once where this sorta happened to me.

Lemme explain: Some time ago when Was around 16, I think, I was with my best friend at the time and his girlfriend and my girlfriend at a local recreational park. My gf got offended by something that I don't remember now so she says I'm leaving (she was the transportation for all of us that day).

I jumped up face down on the roof of her car saying "go ahead and leave"... she did, and the momentum of the car threw me to the street... I was ok but just had a pretty big circle shaped scab on the back of my head for a couple weeks.

Juliet : thank goodness you never got by a car or a motorcycle. motorcycle riders don't  really  pay much attention on the road nor do they care about the safety of other people crossing the road. i have withness it many time before. TRIUNE:  did you make a full recovery?

tRIUNE :   whew, happy to hear that!  it would break my heart to even think someone could be suffering right now.

hyperknuckles : Yes I agree, that's why since then  I wait for them to pass by first before crossing, just to make sure of my own safety. I can't really trust them anymore.

Yes, and my helmet saved my life. Also, I guess all the milk I drank when I was younger saved me from multiple fractures...

Singelli : the car took some of the skin on your leg off? ouch, that sounds like a pretty painful experience. i'm glad your okay nonetheless. you know it's always important to be patient, especially during a red light. i hope you learned a vaule lesson that day. always be patient and wait for the red light to turn green. how did you feel about the destruction of your bike?                                                                                                                         jaw123: it's a good thing you were in your football pads.                                                                                                                                                janus: the helmet is a life-saver.  always wear it when your about to go bike riding.

As for how I felt, I was DEVASTATED.  I had owned that bike for ten or so years and I got it in Alaska.  It was very special to me for sentimental reasons, and I still miss it.  I don't think I will ever find a bike that I like near as much as that one.  It's gone now though, which just hurts the depths of my heart.  lol I know it sounds weird, but I REALLY liked that bike.

Singelli : it's almost as if you had a special bond with that bike. XD yeah....i kind of figured my layout was going to be difficut to read, but it was just so cool i didn't want to change it. now that you mention it, i should start seriously considering about getting a new layout. thanks for pointing that out to me.

But to stay on topic:  I definitely did have a bond with that bike!  I carried the poor mess up a hill to my dorm, hoping to get it repaired.  Unfortunately, it was completely wrecked.
