Between Gold, Silver, and Crystal, Crystal would have to be the best by far. Not only because of the animated Pokemon sprites, but the addition of the Battle Tower was great in it also

I haven't got to play crystal yet but I'd still go with silver. Gold's a nasty color lol. Silver you got Lugia at level 40 instead of Ho-oh (btw what kind of name is Ho-oh? Makes me think of snack food.).

I've always taken to crystal above all other games. I've had it for years and I think it is better in general. Pokemon Crystal doesn't have Mareep though......WAAAA! (I really like Mareep)

see i played gold and silver, infact i started with gold.. that was my started one and i did love it alot. i played silver for a good while and loved it as well, there was alot of reconized stuff that were the same on both version, let alone a few differences. i just started playing crystle as well around the time i first joined here. i love it as well and its basiclly the same sorta as silver and gold, just a few bits of new stuff thrown in. so overall i would go with gold since gold really put up my thrill of loving pokemon.
