I only played Pokémon up to generation 2. I sort of stopped following it after that. I'll never pick anything past Quilava, because the rest is outside of generation 2. I never liked grass-type Pokémon in my day, but I do think Chikorita looks kind of cute...sort of, so I'll give that a break. But Bayleef...not so much.
