Say,do you like Final Fantasy? If you do,then you will love Dragon Warrior III. Dragon Warrior III is a RPG game in which you control the main character, who is sent on a quest to banish evil. You're doing this because your father has failed to do so,and he has been slain in battle agaisn't evil forces. The only person who can follow his steps is you, because you have the blood of a hero! And so begins your journey...
Obviously, you're not going alone, you will have help from mercenaries that you can hire, and they will be really useful. The battle system is pretty consistent, and has almost no flaws. You attack, cast spells, use items...typical RPG stuff. And then you go to dungeons, defeat bosses, acquire powerful relics...typical RPG stuff. You can re-stock your items by visiting shops gathered around the world, and you can rest your party by visiting the Inn...typical RPG stuff. Everything about this game just smells like RPG.
Here is one cool feature, the medal collection. You can acquire medals by defeating enemies or by finding them in the overworld, inside dungeons or on towns. And they're pretty hard to acquire. You can face some optional bosses by collecting a lot of medals, but that's only if you really want to face those optional bosses...they're pretty strong.
Another distinct feature of Dragon Warrior III is that some of the guys who worked on Dragon Ball worked on this game, giving it a special graphical design. Not that you'll see any Kamehamehas here, but still...
The soundtrack is pretty exciting for a Gameboy Color game...it has a lot of quality,i can tell. And that's my simple review about Dragon Warrior III. If you are a RPG fan, you'll like this game. If you're not a RPG fan, you'll like this game. Everyone can play this game, because it's really simple to play. No complex math, you just pick it up and play. And then you grind. And then you beat some enemies into oblivion.
That's it.
