I have an idea for newbies to get help and make friends. 

There should be a sticked thread where newbies can go then they post either a question that they have or if they want someone to help show them around.  Then someone will come and help that person.
This would help because in a newbie thread it can take a long time to get a reply and they might not get help at all. Then the newb can get to know that person better and they will have a good experience with the board.
It might be better than pming the locals or making a help thread because they get to meet new people and get the answer from a regular users point of view. I'm not saying that those are bad it just gives newbies more options.
There might be some bad things about this like the person giving the wrong information, but we should be able to figure out a way. Ideas or comments?

I agree with Jordan. It's a nice idea, but it'll go to waste because all the newbies will never actually look at it and instead make regular threads anyway. As it is, a lot of common questions are answered in a stickied thread and rarely does anyone actually read that. They just post asking anyway. I doubt a "help thread" is going to change anything.

I am a newbie. 4 days old.

I have not been able to get ANY help. I've sent the MODS private messages asking for help.

I tried to donate money & the page wouldn't take my VISA (and the bank assured me there's nothing wrong
with my Visa Card).

I haven't been able to play any of the games I want to play, because my PC Controller only works with the
vizzed "Super Mario Bros." games. All the other games say: "Not Plugged In." Even though I am.

I hooked up X-Padder and pasted my Controller photo & programmed it. But still, I can only play
Super Mario Bros.

It's frustrating being new & ignored.
