For some strange reason my nullDc wont work, and I have tried everything from changing the graphics plugins to even changing the settings. In the Chankast plugin I only get to see parts of the background and the sound is terrible. In the nullDc plugin, all I get is an error message from Windows and that the program had to close. If anyone can help me I'd be most grateful.

You know I'm going to ask if you checked out the setup guide found at https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=4630
Theres a nullDC setup guide in that thread.
I make all the guides after I perfect the setup, so it definatly works.

Let me know and we'll go from there.

you have all the files: nullDC 1.0.3, nullDC BIOS, d3dx9_37.dll yes?
run a test archive on the archives you downloaded to make sure they downloaded properly.
just in case i'll tell you how. right click the archive to test and select test archive from the options for your extraction program (winrar, 7zip, etc)
if it says no errors it might be your pc. in which case list some specs.
the nullDC plugin should not crash the program, I write these guides during a setup to confirm everything.

Id be interested to know the operating system/pc specs. Make sure your not running a program in the background that could possibly be interfering with Nulldc such as firewalls. My only other recommendation is to try another version of Nulldc.

Just for the sake of being sure, turn off Vista's user account control (if you havent already). Try downloading another Nulldc package, with my first experience with nullDC I had to use the previous version to get it to work.

It should definatly work fine on that computer, I did a test run with a laptop with similar specs.
Try the UAC thing Garth mentioned, you in no way should have to download a different copy of nullDC though.
Also did you run a test on those archives?
You may also need to install DirectX9 runtimes as DirectX10 does not automatically mean you have them installed.
Do you know if you had DirectX9 installed before 10?
I'll look at getting an archive of a fully set up nullDC uploaded in the meantime.
The only reason this isnt the case on GYR (or any other website) is because the nullDC EULA asks that it not be distributed in any other state then its original archive
