I'd have to say Gardevoir. And not for idiotic reasons ( you know ) . I caught mine at the beginning of my Ruby , and right after that, I helped Wally catch his. After that , I knew I'd have some awesome battles with my rival's Gardevoir against my own. Ruby was my most enjoyed Pokemon game, probably because of my trusty Gardevoir.

I don't think I have a favorite Pokemon of all time. I do have favorites from each generation that I absolutely adore.

Gen 1 would be a tie between Aerodactyl and Vaporeon. I ALWAYS had those two in my team and not once have I ever lost with them. My favorite Pokemon pretty much as been Vaporeon despite my username.

Gen 2 would have to  Espeon and Raikou

Gen 3 Gardevoir and Roselia

Gen 4: Roserade Yanmega

Gen 5: Hydreigon and Samurott

if I had to pick just one that's tough but to be honest it would be between Espeon and Vaporeon. Those are definitely my top 2

  I'd have to say my favorite hands down is Empoleon hands down no doubt about it. I mean it's not all that fast and what not but it has great sp.attack and plus it's half steel so it'll have really good defense to back it up. I usually chose a fire type starter Pokémon for every generation before DPP but when that came out and I just couldn't help but choose piplup and ever since I haven't chose anything but piplup

Probably one of the various Water Starters, but if I ahd to pick one it would be Mudkip. Mudkip is freaking awesome and I love it's deign soooo much! It's probably the Cutest Pokemon aswell.

However, my all time favorite is definitely Mew. Adorably and mysterious, Mew will always hold a special place in my heart.

My favorite Pokemon would be between Charizard, Togatic, and Ho-Oh. I like Charizard since I had Pokemon Red when I was younger and his attack power is very high on the game. I like Togatic just because when had my GameBoy Advance and I had it on Gold, nobody else at school had one and I did. I like Ho-Oh because it's one of the most dominate legendary Pokemon to have in your lineup.

Has to be Squirtle. He's cute, got a cool guy attitude, (judging by "The Squirtle Squad!" episode of Pokemon.) He has awesome attacks, can learn many HM's, very balanced stats, he's got it all! Plus, I love the noises he makes.
