zanderlex : Your probably talking about Ducklett, I never used it before, but I know about it .

Mines would probably have to be Greninja, it's not its ability that intrigues me but mostly the fact that I love ninjas. There are in fact other ninja Pokémon but Greninja is more of a ninja than other. I love everything about it's design and it's stats and abilities isn't so bad itself. His hidden ability Protean is one of the greatest things about him. Not to mention his shiny form is awesome. Red and black. Makes him seem like an assassin of the shadows. Blood for the red, and shadows for the black.

Metagross has to be my favourite Pokémon (just look at him for a start!). When you battle Steven in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and he brings this solid steel/psychic wall out you know that it's getting tough. No type weaknesses (in 3rd generation), a solid defense and special defense makes Metagross truly formidable.

I'd have to go with Gyarados.  I usually catch a magikarp early in the game, then put him in the day care until he reaches level 19.  Then I get him to level 20 and have a strong ally.
