I really just don't get what the point of this thread is supposed to be. I think most of the time people try to get the highest rank that they can in whatever they do.

If that actually happens or not remains to be seen. Usually posts like this have the tendency to turn off the people who actually make these kind of decisions.

That being so, being a good staff member in lesser roles and trying to lead by example goes a long way to becoming global.
