i think platinum is the best but if youre talking bout gbc i think red and yellow is the best

Pokemon Platinum is the Best because of the Great graphics and all of the new additions like all of the new Pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex.
But to complete that game, you must have most of the other Pokemon Adventure games.

I'd have to say Emerald!!

I think its platinum because it has every pokemon up to that point and if you have the action replay for ds u can use the pokemon modifier to get the pokemon that you want but can't find

It's like a tie between Yellow & Crystal.

But for the most part, I'd say Crystal, 'cause it had some PoKeMoN sprite animation, and that it broke the gender barrier for PoKeMoN.

It also being the final GBC game that PoKeMoN would be on, and that it was probably the best of it's time(a month before 9/11). But anyway, Crystal outranks all, and beats all.

Gold and Silver are basically a merge and made Crystal!

I like the Yellow version best *__* Just cuz you can get bulbasaur and charmander very easily, haha xD

crystal for sure! the second series of the game is definitely the best because of the fact that you can go to two different regions and crystal is the best out of the three

pokemon yellow i mean come on you didnt have to use cheats or trade to get all the start up pokemon and pikachu followed you around. it was by far the best pokemon game made

Gold/Silver/Crystal. I haven't played Gen. 4 yet, Gen. 1 surpasses G/S/C for me at times, and Gen. 3 really wasn't anything special. It was just...bland. Nothing about it stood out from the other games, at all. The new Pokemon weren't that great, your rival wasn't interesting/cool/good at all, the music wasn't that great... It sort of picks up after you've beaten half of the gyms, but even then, it's still not that great. I need to try Gen. 4 soon.

I'm torn between Diamond/Pearl, Yellow, and Crystal. Diamond/Pearl has awesome graphics (I havent played Platinum) and give the largest amount of moves to choose from to teach your pokemon, making them more customizable and unique. Yellow is the ONLY game you can catch Mew without cheating, and it's VERY strong. But I think I'm going with Crystal because it seems like there is so much more to do being able to go to Kanto and Johto as well as the different things that happen on different days of the week. The only problem with Gold, Silver, and Crystal is that the opponent's pokemon are so weak which slows down your own pokemon's growth. Like after the 7th badge your pokemon are at lvl 40 at BEST. In Diamond/Pearl your pokemon can be over lvl 30 before you get your 3rd badge. Hopefully they change that in HG and SS so that it doesnt feel like your battling lvl 20-25 pokemon half of the game, which you do even after getting the 8th badge. The pokemon owned by the Elite Four and some gym leaders are the only one's that are even challenging to fight. And Red at the very end, I forgot him. Even so I say Crystal is the best.

Jacob: awesome! after months of training we finally got him to level 100! oh man the guys at school aren't gonna believe this!

my first level 100 pokemon was in pokemon gold so I would have to say that's the best out of pure nostalgia, but runner-up is no doubt Pokemon Colosseum, in fact if Pokemon Colosseum mixed with the latest pokemon game, that would probably end up being the absolute best.... forever

im going to say crystal. I remember i traded with myself to get a charmander as a starter instead of cyndaquil. i dunno what happened to it.. i think i let it go xD

haha, nice ione Chron. My favorite is Crystal, the merge of Gold and Silver, plus the added emphasis on my favorite of the legendary beasts (guess who!) made it awesome! Secondly comes Platinum, because even though most of the new pokemon are lame, (but some aren't)(Lucario FTW!!! and Giratina's Origin Forme is beast too!) I love what they did with the gyms and Elite Four, and the showdown in Distortion world is Amazing! But, yeah, I'm gonna go with Crystal. Can't wait for HG/SS!

that distortion thing p'd me off.. but anyways, platinum was OK.. they really made it tougher on you too. most of the gym leader's pokemon had moves that could devastate your pokemon if you chose to go with a type theirs was weak against. it really made it more of a challenge, thats for sure.

oh, and i dont the games. the newer games are actually pretty good, i just hate the pokemon they have

emrald is the best ever i mean the battle frontier the advancedd pokedex... smeargles... evees...... wild evees..... you name emrald has it

Crystal is my choice.I agree on you Chronabis and Bignate about Platinum as it would've been my second choice with their great challenging gym leaders(Candice...I chose turtwig and I battled her when I had torterra and her Frosslass would annihilate it with Blazzard).Giratina which is what makes Platinum my second favorite made Platinum seem even better with its Origin Forme.But,Crystal was Epic!

i think Silver/Gold are the best. because you can go to two places, fight ash, and more, it made a lot of what pokemon is now, night and day, and more...

I'd have to agree with the masses that Pokemon Crystal was the best of the Pokemon Games. Gold/Silver/Crystal are my favorites anyway, but Crystal is essentially Gold & Silver with animated sprites on the Pokemon, plus the introduction of the Battle Tower

its all about the original red/blue...i spent countless hours playing this game as a kid
