Hi.

I just downloaded the Monster Rancher 2 ISO from the get-your-rom site and have no clue on how to make it work with ePSXe since there are three files. I know how to work with a single file not multiple ones.

Help?

Please and Thank you!

I'm assuming you mean there were 3 files inside the archive from get-your-rom.
Just start ePSXe, click File then Run ISO as normal then browse to where the files are and choose any one of the Monster Rancher 2 files (it doesnt matter which one) and then click Open.
The game should then start. If it doesnt just try again with one of the other files.
If it still doesnt work then post again and let us know and we'll see if we can figure out whats wrong with it.

okay it's not showing up as a .BIN, .IMG, or .ISO file. so here's what i did. I change the files type to "all files" and found them there. i tried every one of them and it hangs ... i don't know if it's supposed to hang or not or even if i doing this right.

i leanred how to use and open the other iso's by myself since it seemed like common sense on what to do but for this one it's confusing.

btw, thanks for the help so far.

hmm, interesting. what file types is it giving you?
you might need to download a program called a disk mounter for this game.
the disk mounter i use when needed is called daemon tools.
http://www.daemon-tools.cc/
what you do is install it then "mount" the game files with it, the run ePSXe again but choose the run from cd option.

also the guide to ePSXe in this thread https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=4630 may or my not help too.
let me know if you want to try the disk mounter thing.

new thing i found out. are these the names of the files you have?
Monster Rancher 2 [NTSC-U] [SLUS-00917].ccd
Monster Rancher 2 [NTSC-U] [SLUS-00917].img.ecm
Monster Rancher 2 [NTSC-U] [SLUS-00917].sub

if thats the case you need to run a special tool on the file Monster Rancher 2 [NTSC-U] [SLUS-00917].img.ecm

get this tool: http://www.neillcorlett.com/downloads/ecm100.zip
copy and paste the link to get the file.

extract the tool to a folder. drag the Monster Rancher 2 [NTSC-U] [SLUS-00917].img.ecm file onto the "unecm.exe" executable and it will decompress into a .bin or .img file, for example.
the new file will work in epsxe. you can delete the Monster Rancher 2 [NTSC-U] [SLUS-00917].img.ecm file now as you dont need it anymore.
just put the new img file in the same folder with your other game files.

also if you need to do this then forget about the thing about the disk mounter as the game will run properly after following these steps.

I'm not 100% sure but that feature might not work when playing it on an emulator.
How are you mounting the game, using the emulator itself or something like DaemonTools?
