Mighty Morphin Power Rangers : The Movie is indeed a big name. And with a big name, comes a big responsability. I can say that people worked hard on this game, because it has some truly shining moments.

It is one of those games where you have to beat lots of guys, and then beat the boss, and that's it. There's some little challenges to keep the game fresh along the way,and boy, some of them are hard. The story is the typical Power Rangers story : A bad guy wants to rule the world, and it's up to the good guys to protect it.
The controls of this game are kinda bad, sometimes, you press the button, but the character does absolutely nothing. It's just like if the button was broken. When you have to jump, you don't. This leads to many game overs during the game.

Then, there's the bosses. They are quite hard, but they tend to follow a pattern that you can easily exploit in order to win. Just like Megaman. You have access to five bosses at the start of the game, and you can start in any of those 5 stages, whichever one you want.
Then, after you destroyed those 5 bosses, you get access to the final stage...and guess what, you will have to face those 5 bosses again in this final stage. Just like Megaman. Then you face the "real" "true" final boss. Yeah, because this game has no alternate endings, just one single ending. But when you win, there is still a second phase during the battle. Just like Megaman.
Hey,is it just me,or does this game has a lot to do with Megaman?

Oh well. Here's a brilliant feature : When you collect enough Morphin Energy, you can transform into your Ranger form. This will recover your health, will make you stronger, and will allow you to use a new attack(or attacks, depending on your character.). Then,if you collect even more Morphin Energy, you will be able to unleash your most devastating attack, one that will destroy all enemies on screen, and deal heavy damage agaisn't bosses.

But the greatest part of the game is now coming : It's the soundtrack. OH MY GOD. What were the guys thinking when they made this soundtrack? The songs are amazing, full of vigor, and they are catchy too. And when you get to the boss...OH MY GOD. I can't even describe how good the soundtrack is in this game. It's somenthing from another world. I didn't actually even think that the Game Boy was capable of such good harmony. If you're going to play this game, then play it for the soundtrack. The soundtrack makes up for all the bad things that this game has.

Here's one last hint when you're stuck in a level : you might need to morph into your Ranger form. It's not exactly a wonderful game, but it's worthy your attention. Play it.

This sounds like a good game, however I think I am too old for power rangers. I would probably play it if I was younger though. This is a good review as well
