Ah, Pokémon. The Game and Anime we've all grew up with. The crazy thing is, this was my first game to actually involve the Pocket Monsters, Pokémon for short, world. I like this game more than the show that airs nowadays. This game had me in awe when I first played it. I've never seen the Pokémon before I first played it, because it was on a different channel than I normally watched it on, Cartoon Network. But enough about the show AND the game. Let's talk about JUST the game.
Graphics: 9- Why a 9 and not lower? This is the GBA we're talking about. Back before the Nintendo DS took the GBA's attention. The way the game looks took me by surprise. Never seen a game as good as this. The only why I gave the Graphics 9/10 was because the game could have been more crispier than the average GBA game at the time. Sound: 8- The sound was good while playing. I've found myself humming the Poke battle tune when it started playing. Just don't play it around anything loud if you like the music, how else could you listen to them?, unless you have good earphones that are really good for your ears.
Addictiveness: 9- Although I've never beaten the game, I've found that if it doesn't work your way, just restart. But what's the point in that? This game is the reason I got really addicted to the games. So addicted that I try to get every game at that point. I'm practically nowhere near there, before I met Vizzed ha ha. This game would pretty much be the best game to get, or Ruby or Emerald, which ever you prefer. It's still gonna get you addicted no matter how hard you try to quit playing. Story: 6- The story is basically the same from the original games. Catch Pokémon, Beat the Gym Leaders, Get All 8 Gym Badges, Beat the Elite Four, Beat the Champion, Be Champion. Need I say more?
Depth: 6- The game offers some good, until you've looked at every nook and cranny for every Pokémon you could get, and all the items you can find. The game offers a good amount of legendaries in my mind. Try catching a Pokémon with a pokeball or any thing with that catch rate, and see how you'd react, Chuggaconroy I'm looking at you. Other than that, just keep battling the Elite Four until you've reached level 100. Then battle players online, if that's possible on here, I don't know.
Difficulty: 5- Not too difficult unless you have under leveled Pokémon, Torchic before the first gym, or if you come unprepared. I remembered when I reached the Elite Four. Drake always gave me a hard time. Watch out for those Potions, Super Potions, or Hyper Potions that you didn't expect the Gym Leader or Elite Four Member you face. It'll come and bite you in the butt later.
Overall: 9-Just the same old stuff, just different region, Hoenn, and different Pokémon. Ah, Pokémon. The Game and Anime we've all grew up with.
