Hey guys. Megamanmaniac here with a megaman review. This time the game I'm reviewing Megaman Battle Network 6: Cybeast Gregar.
Graphics 8/10:
This megaman battle network game has the best graphics of all of the games. The 3D aspect of the game combined with the much improved graphics when jacking in and roaming the net, the graphics are rated highly in comparison to the other games. Compared to other GBA games, this one doesn't the best graphics in the world. There are many improvements that could be made to the graphics, but overall the graphics are decent. That's why I'm giving the graphics an 8 out of 10.
Sound 9/10:
I do enjoy the soundtrack. The themes in this game are incredible, especially the final boss one. The Gregar fight gives you a techno kind of feel, and I wouldn't mind listening to it and even humming it while I battle Gregar.
Addictiveness 6/10:
This game is fun and I'd love to play it again, but I don't think I would play it over and over again being as the game doesn't repeat like mmbn4 and mmbn5.
Story 9/10:
This game has a pretty good storyline. It starts off with Lan Hikari moving to a new city and befriending a person named Iris (whether or not she's a human is a different story). Lan and Megaman soon find out that the WWW has struck again and is wreaking havoc all over the net. When they decide to look around, they find Circusman, who absorbs one of the Cybeasts 9in this version Falzar), and Megaman absorbs the other. The WWW attack various places and Megaman has to stop them, meeting new friends and forming links with them. After the defeat of Blastman and Diveman, Megaman develops his own free will and you actually get the opportunity to use another Navi to chase him down. Once you find and defeat megaman, you get to play with him agan and have to defeat Baryl and Colonel. Leter, when the Expo opens and the grand plan of the WWW is unveiled, it is revealed that Iris is actually a netnavi and that Colonel is Iris' other half. It is also revealed that Dr. Wily raised Baryl as a child. Megaman goes in to fight the Cybeasts and then defeats them. At the end of the game, the futures of the characters are revealed. Twenty years into the future, Lan and Mayl marry eachother and have a son named Patch. Dex becomes the mayor of ACDC. Yai is now the president of her company. Mick is a teacher while Tab works at his family's store. Chaud becomes the leader of the international Officials. I found this to be a very good story and the ending to be a perfect conclusion to the megaman battle network series.
Depth 9/10:
Just like any other mega man battle network game, this game has quite a bit of depth to it. Beating the cybeasts doesn't end the game. Theres also the task of collecting all of the chips, completing all of the jobs, collecting the seven stars, and beating the ultimate navi, Bass.
Difficulty 4/10:
This game really isn't that hard to beat. It's just long, which should be expected.
Overall 8/10:
Overall this game is a good game. Aspects of the game such as story and depth make up for the lack of difficulty that the game presents. I would recommend this game to anyone who has the time to play this great conclusion to the MMBN series.
Edit: I'm not sure why the spacing didn't work for me.
