They aren't getting extra protection, you just won't be able to fire or not hire someone etc. because of sexual orientation. Nobody will be forced to hire gays and lesbians, but you won't be allowed to deny them jobs because of their sexual orientation. And obviously there is no equality if gays are discriminated against

I don't think there should be any 'views' on homosexuality. There shouldn't be any issues with it at all. They're people. End of story.

You never hear anyone ask about someone's 'views' on heterosexuality, it's just a sexual urge one cannot truly choose. Beating a dead horse here, but yeah. It's so damn simple yet it's still an issue, it boggles my mind.
