Yes SegaSonic the Hedgehog is actually what this game is called. It was released in 1992 and only in Japan! Why on earth does this game only exist in Japan. American gamer's would have loved this game. You use track ball controls to control Sonic and it perfectly suits this game. Except for the fact I have to use the arrows on the keyboard. It's quite hard to move Sonic on the keyboard but the game still has some good gameplay.

GAMEPLAY B-: This game is very easy to pick up and play. All you do is run away from things and dodge obstacles. There is weaknesses in the gameplay though. For one thing the controls, Sonic moves so fast that its hard to move him through areas that require stopping. Most of the game however  is just running really fast through zones. Every now and then you will stumble upon an area that requires tedious platforming to be done. Well that's impossible!!! There is a good thing about only going fast and that good thing is that you can finally go fast through most of the game and its not hard to get through the game by only going fast.

GRAPHICS B: There's nothing terribly impressive but there is some neat scaling effects in the game. The levels are not much but they kind of flow as you go through the game. Kind of like Sonic 3, and Sonic and Knuckles. Where as you go through zones its like your actually moving on and not just transporting somewhere else. All and all I'll say the graphics are alright, but can't you get these kind of visuals from a SNES? (The Genesis does not have scaling and rotating capabilities.)

SOUND C+: GOD THOSE ANNOYING LITTLE VOICES ARE KILLING ME!!!!!! I'm serious the high pitched voices make me want to destroy my computer. Why can't they have a lower pitch. The music is okay but I don't really pay attention to it due to the relentless gameplay.

ADDICITVENESS A: The addiciveness level is very high because I just did not want the game to end. Many arcade games are addicting. So it did not surprise me that this game was addicting.

DEPTH C+: As small as the game is, there is actually quite a bit of variety. There's 7 stages each with different obstacles. My favorite is the sand level where there's quick sand that does not kill you but it moves fast and you have to keep going to make sure the sand does not push you off a cliff.

DIFFICULTY MEDIUM: You will be dying a lot, but the game is still quite easy. The obstacles are not hard to dodge and Sonic moves so fast that's its hard for things to get you.
