For some reason every time I play the game, my refractors in game are invisible, along w/ energy shields and my laser sword. it's really annoying.

well there are alot of times that one might choose to use a N64 emu over a PSX, or vice versa, when they have the same game.
personal preference, they played the specific console one before, the PSX emu wont work on their pc, etc.
good suggestion though if they do want to try a different version
