help with xenogears, can't do BIG jump

It's the jump that requires that you run, then press the jump button. I can't do it for the life of me, and I'm pretty certain that it's a technical issue.

Also, on another question, there are some issues with sound as in it'll kinda skip around whenever i get into a fight. I d/led some plugins, but epsxe just can't seem to find it, which is weird considering it found plugins for just about everything else.

any help would be appreciated thanks.

For the sound issue, the internal ePSXe is reported as the most compatible sound plugin, but I'll put up Pete's sound plugin when I get the chance.
If it is still weird then it's just something that you'll have to deal with as it's either that your PC isn't fast enough or the emulator hasn't nailed that part down yet.
As for the jump, are you using a USB controller or the keyboard?
Some keyboards have a limitation on the number of buttons that can be pressed at the same time.

I doubt that it's a technical issue with the emulator, but how did you set up ePSXe, did you check the guide we have?
