If you are trying to win the VCS, being NR means you scored 0 the previous day. So yeah, if you are trying to win it can hurt you. That's 10 points you can't get. But otherwise, no, we've had several people get in the top 5 with a few NRs in the month.

So, it turns out, if I had bet pacman 100 Viz per DQ, I'd be in the hole about 1,000 Viz right now.
Good thing it's only per day.
But seriously, this is getting out of hand.  7 DQ's in one day has to throw up some kind of red flag.

I have another question - Whats DQ ? - And is being DQ'd bad ? - Last , whats nr and is it a bad thing too?

DQ is disqualified. It means you broke a rule, and I chose to take points away, rather than give them to you.

Being DQ'd is very bad.

mlb789 : I find that a -little- bit unfair. My DQ was made not even knowing about this competition until nearly a full two days after I made the DQ. "New" next to my listing was very accurate. Though I fear I might get disqualified again for actually posting in this thread. I got neg'd 8 points without even knowing this competition existed. I'm not even trying to win it; just trying to actually be an active member. And I wonder how many of those other "Disqualifieds" were made by people either uninterested in the competition or completely unawares of it.

Can we get "DQ" and "NR" added to the FAQ? With the inclusion that the former hurts you and the latter doesn't? And can we also get a list of all the rules for the VCS? 

Ktanaqui :  I was talking about in general.  Also, If you are dq'd, it usually means you were spamming, which is frowned upon anyways.

mlb789 : But I wasn't spamming; I was DQ'd for several replies to my Introductory thread. (When one person replied to me, I replied back.) And I've noticed that several others got DQ'd simply because the had more posts in a specific area than anywhere else. That's not spamming either; it just doesn't fit with the point of the competition. Is that spamming, in your eyes? And if you post more than five times in this thread, you risk being DQ'd too.... that's not spamming, is it? 

I'm going to be DQ'd today, which sucks since I had quite a few posts. (For posting too many times in this thread.)

I must be getting a lot of Viz. 6 days and 6 DQs. Actually, more. This is really sad.

Maybe I should rank to make the VCS look better

I wanted to point out something that I found to be very interesting. According to this page:

I'm ranked 5th in having the most posts in the past 7 days, but I've got a pretty good lead in 1st in this competition so far. I think that is a good example of how many DQs there have been and how lucky I've been getting.

Oh, nifty. I have ninth spot on that list. That's actually kind of scary being that I've only been here a few days - and none of it is true spam. On second thought, that's pretty awesome. I bookmarked that link because I'm not quite sure how to get back to it, at the moment. Can't wait until I get out of Newbie status. Then I will really be able to do some awesome things as far as posts go. (I have a growing list of topics that need covering that I am interested in.) 

Might actually achieve some serious posting once I'm into Member status... So, what are the rewards for each individual slot on the Top 10 for the VCS, anyhow?

There are no "real" rewards for top 10.

I run this on my own watch once every 3 months, and I do not have the resources to award anything of value to anyone.

You can put bragging rights in your custom title... but there's not much reason for that.

Ahh, alright. 
That's pretty cool of you; I'm really surprised that this isn't an official contest yet. Are you interested in adding rewards to it at any point?

It's "official".

It's just not run by David, so it's less "big" than the big posting competition, the Tour de Vizzed, which happens every 3 months (follows a VCS month)

If I had something to reward people with I would.

For a while I gave out VIP Status in chat (which was just a purple name) but with the change in rules, I just decided to change the VIP rule too.
