As of right now, there aren't any emulators available that can get the whole "cord connection" part down for the gameboy series, so as of right now, it is unfortunately impossible.

poppyuin : I think if you use VGBA emulator or some others there a mods on which you can open two different emulators and trade- my cousin traded his Tepig (NOTE: He is using a emulator don't be hatting on me!) to his Heart gold and the sprite made the game so awesome- in other words... It's like a Minecraft Texture Pack.

I know it's possible for Nintendo DS Pokemon emulators, but people would have to figure out someway to hook up wifi to the emulator, and that's not very easy. (They way you connect with DS Pokemon emulators is because of the wifi)
