I don't think so. If the band didn't want the music to be downloaded then can't they just sue all of the websites that have the music or ask them to take the songs down? They might not be able to find all of the free music sites but they should be able to find a lot of the big websites.

Too bad my taste in music wont hit it where it hurts but I sure hope so. But the industry has whined about everything killing them from hometaping to filesharing yet they are a powerful industry putting out total garbage year after year. So let them rot.

A lot of people find ways to get free music but a lot of people either are to lazy to try or haven't thought of it but I think music providing companies still make good money especially itunes =)

Cd sales only make up a small percent of a bands income most comes from live shows and merchandise . If you are downloading music from a famous band I would feel bad about, but if its a local band you should buy the cd.
