The first time I ever played the Portal series of games was two weeks ago in my uncles cabin on the XBOX 360.  I had heard that the games were really good, so I was delighted to see that my uncle had one game that would be okay to play.  After I played Portal, I decided to rent Portal 2 at my fathers house, and to my surprise, it was better than the first Portal.  Portal 2 follows the storyline from the end of Portal 1.  If you have not seen the end of Portal 1, you need to know that you blow the place up and get dragged back in to the new place.  What I found in this game was an excellent development that Valve put together.

Graphics 9:  The graphics in this game are extremely good.  I like how they made the vines look, and they made the interior of the old chambers look like the time period.  The only thing I would have liked is if they made GLaDOS look different than in the last game.

Sound 10:  I really like how the creators of the sound in the game really kept the character voices the same.  I still get chills when GLaDOS talks to the character, just because her voice is so robotic.  I also like the song at the end of the game, but it is definitely not as good as the last game's song.

Addictiveness 10:  This game is absolutely addicting.  It took a long time for me to be able to turn off the PS3, and the only reason I did is because my brother wanted a turn and kicked me off.  Because this game has an online co-op option, you can play for a long time after the story without being bored.  You might also want to play the story again like I did with Portal 1, but since this game is longer, you might not want to do that right away.

Story 10:  The story from Portals 1 and 2 are absolutely amazing.  I find it interesting how you start the game, where you are put in to a permanent sleep and are woken up every once and a while to make sure you are still able to move.  You then follow a stupid robot named Wheatley, until you find GLaDOS again and accidentally revive her.  You then have to go through tests again until you find Wheatley and he will help you disable her.  There is a lot more to the story though, so you have to play and find out.  This story kept me for about 10 hours trying to find out what to do, and at one point I think I looked up a walkthrough to find out how to beat a level because I was stuck on it for almost an hour.   Nevertheless, you should learn to love the story as you play through out the game, unless you absolutely hate having to use your mind in a game, especially if you expect a story to just pop out and think that you don't have to do anything to have the story progress.

Depth 10:  This game offers a lot of hours of game play that should keep you playing for a very long time.  The main story takes about ten hours to beat, and there is also a Co-op mod that you can do too.  If you think that the game isn't deep enough, go and play Portal for a bit and come back to the game after you beat the story in an hour.

Difficulty 8:  Because this is one of those games where you have to look around to do stuff, I gave it a high rating.  This is one of those games where you actually have to think logically to know where to put the portals.

Overall 10:  This game is an absolutely amazing game.  You should have no trouble falling in love with this game because it is that great.  This game is recommended to anyone who likes to just casually game, because it is a game that everyone can really do and enjoy (even though it will probably be hard to beat).

Great game really loved the way it played and the graphics weren't too bad at all, not a bad play at all, everyone should give it one try at some point, it least once, great game overall, just not a 5 out of 5 though.

I heard that this is a great game to play. I will probably like this game, since it involved using your brain a lot. Anyway great review, and I want to try this game out to see what it like.

I own Portal 2 for Steam, and the original Portal as well. They switched up the story, which is a nice touch, well, who wants to play the same game over and over again by paying sequels? Nobody. I find their punchlines pretty funny as well. Especially Cave Johnson. He's golden.

Good review. I loved Portal 1 all the way through. It had a good charm to it but Potal 2 had wayyyy more.
