I've always been a Max Payne fan ever since the first one was released for the pc. That being said, I have really enjoyed the story and found it very challenging (no health regeneration without pills, very possible to die even on easy mode etc). I also really enjoyed the multiplayer. I think of it as a third person COD game. My only real complaint are the cut scenes. You can  very rarely skip them and they appear quite frequently in the game. You can however skip them in score attack, not sure about New York Minute though. I do highly recommend this game if you want a change-up from your average shoot em up game.

I just reopened this one since i booted his other one into game discussion when i closed it.

I got max payne 1 on the ps store, but i never paid much attention other than his family were murdered (idk why). I got bored due to it being dated,I should maybe try a newer one, the first wasnt 'bad' per say.

I don't own a 360 but I enjoyed the first max payne for the original xbox. If I ever get a chance to play this game I will.

Max Payne 3.......Well I do own a XBOX360 and am totally enjoying this game.  Yes, the cut scenes can be kinda tedious to watch but man...they are cool...like a movie.  The game is a little challenging and as the per the post above there is no health regeneration without the pills.  Saying that the pills are plentiful but ya have to search for them.  Graphics are amazing, the humor is awesome.....and the stuff going on in the background if ya catch them is funny to creepy.  One of my fav games for XBOX360.......9.

Max Payne 3 is definety a recommendation for any X360 or PS3 owner. It's tough-as-nails, story-driven, good looking and the shooting feels great.
