THIS IS IT. This is the game I was waiting and waiting to see on this site. I absolutely LOVE this game. It's just absolutely amazing how much work and care went into making this. I had such a great time playing this, and anyone who's a fan of the later gens definitely needs to check this one out.
First things first: the graphics. Graphics are Emerald quality and look stunning. Every area has a distinct feel and few glitches ensue while playing the game. My personal favorites are the alternate dimensions, where everything has a creepy vibe to it. It's just wonderful.
The sound: This is Emerald's soundtrack and it's just superb. Every track in here is just stellar, and I always look forward to hearing it again. Some Pokémon cries do sound a bit "off", but I'm giving that a pass due to the .wav files being difficult to send through.
The addictiveness: I played this game to no end for about a week. There is just so much to do that the re-playability level is astounding. There are different worlds to explore, and so much to do. Expect about 30-40 hours to be filled getting every last thing done. (for Pokémon standards, that's awesome).
The story: The story's great for Gen 3 Pokémon standards. It's complex, the feud between legends is compelling, and I've always waited to see what was coming next. Just superb, regretted nothing.
Depth: There is SO MUCH, as I've stated before, to this world. Pokémon from Gens 4 and 5 have come around, and a lot of them have reworked movepools to fit in better with Gen 3. If you have favorites from those gens, chances are good that they're found in this game. Again, there is about 30-40 hours of content to do (especially if you start doing the Battle Frontier or similar places), that it's phenomenal that the memory can hold it all.
Difficulty: I think the difficulty for this game is just right. Some of the earlier gym leaders can be a bit rough, but when you can start rebattling trainers again, then things get a bit smoother. Max levels are in the 80's, this includes post-game trainers, which makes for some good challenges. Definitely a good level curve, keeps you on your toes.
Overall, this game is amazing. I absolutely recommend you pick this up and give it a shot. You might love it, or you might hate it. Either way, give it a try and see for yourself!
