Ahh Bomberman.Everyone's childhood.I decided that this game would be the perfect one to review for today since I'm in the mood to do. it.With the success of Super Bomberman on the Super Nintendo,Hudson had to make a sequel and then another one and then a another one and another one.While I don't mind that much sequels I think that's overkill.Super Bomberman was one of the first games to support the Mutitap similar to the one on the Nes this one allows you to play 4-player mutiplayer.Just like the first one this one includes a story which I'll get into later.Let's go into the review now.
Graphics:The graphics look amazing!They look classic and really show what bomberman is in a nutshell.Everything looks colorful in 16-bit glory and bomberman is still as cute as ever.Ahem.{9}
Sound
erfect.It's not only this is the most catchy music I've ever herad.the sounds feel spot on and I don't see any problem with it.{10}
Addictiveness:Bomberman is a sort of puzzle/action game.You place bombs to try to kill the enemies in the game.some die with one hit and others die with two hits or more.The goal is to hit all those yellow panels on that level and destroy all the enemies to advance to the next one.Bomberman dies with one hit so you have to be careful and even if the door to complete the level is open you might want to bomb some of the breakable objects if you haven't to get some upgrades to your bombs before going on to the next one(If you get a game over you're bombs start from the beginning again).{9}
Story:The story of the game is:The five dastardly bombers are planning to take over the universe so they capture Bomberman.You awake in the dungeon of Magnet Bomber(which is the first level you start off in).Now you have to beat Magnet Bomber,Golem Bomber,Pretty Bomber,Brain Bomber and Plasma Bomber to save earth.Sorry to tell you this,but this a basic story especially back then,but they did something different such as having the hero getting captured so I have to give them credit for that.{6}
Depth:There is a total of 5 worlds with a password feature.You get a new password for every world you beat.Of course you have your nostalgic battle mode that allows up to 4-players with the mutitap.The game is sort of lacking,but the battle should keep you there for a long time and I think the gameplay makes up for it.{7}
Difficulty:I'm going to put this on a six since it really depends how you think.It might need some trail and error to get pass a couple of levels,but once you know the bomb physics the difficulty become average,but the game is still fun.{6}
Overall
uper Bomberman 2 has to be one of the best sequels ever made.It's nearly flawless and is tons of fun especeily in mutiplayer.I'd recommend it to anyone you is a fan of the series or just wants to have a good time.I give this game a 9 out of 10.
