I was simply infering that you didn't really add much to the conversation. You just state that there is nothing wrong with it, then you give no reason as to why you think that way.

....lets stop pretending that all *Christians* don't like homosexuality and that means that people should appease the *Christians* and discriminate against homosexuality. I'm Christian. I'm CATHOLIC and I don't have any problem with gay people. I think its their right to have their sexuality and not be afraid to show it, too. So....

...lets call a spade a spade. You (meaning people who disapprove of it) don't like homosexuality because it scares you. It puts you out of your comfort zone. You don't like to think of two men or two women having sex. Well, wake up! This has been happening for THOUSANDS OF YEARS! It went on BEFORE Christianity, it will go on AFTER Christianity. it IS an impulse in certain people, not just a fad. you're not going to stop it, and it wouldnt make a difference to our society anyway.

I don't understand why people keep saying "Oh, but the children!" How does 2% of the population (assuming geeo's figure is correct) corrupt children by having sex in private? It doesn't make sense. it's a bogus argument, this whole thing is based on YOUR fear!

this sort of prejudice is what is happening in the middle east. they don't like american's, they oppress their women because they put them out of their comfort zone. furthermore, they're hiding behind religion, which is the main argument against homosexuality.

our population is big enough, we're not starting a civilization, there's no HARM IN IT. What are gay people doing to you by being gay? Nothing! So leave it alone.

granted... not ALL Christians think personally that gays are "bad people" or something....

however...

1) just because something has happened for a long time does not make it right.... womens rights is proof of that fact, or racial discrimination

2)When homosexuals get marriage, the next thing they will go for is the right to have children (adopt). Now, there is NO evidence that 2 male or 2 female parents will turn a kid gay or somehow screw him up, but there is plenty that proves that a 2 opposite sex parent home is the ideal situation for children... and I for one don't think children deserve to be in the middle of some social experiment we devise to see if harmful things happen to the kids....

3)There is no apparent harm that anyone in the immediate future can see.... but, you CAN'T see the future. No one knows what this will spawn.

4) Homosexuality is not a need. You said it is an impulse. I have impulses all the time. I was driving home tonight and someone almost hit me.... you know what I wanted to do.... get out and kick his face in... but I shouldn't do that.... it's not right.... well, that's how I feel about gays.... they are doing something unatural and the less I have to know about it the better

I guess this is where I stop being christian... if ALL christians hate gay people and think they're bad... oh well *sighs* it was fun while it lasted.

Everyone has a right to their own oppinions. You can be gay, straight, bi, republican, democrat, liberal, conservative, christian, jewish, islamic, black, white, ghetto, gamer, player, corporate, lawyer, IRS, PETA, GreenPeace, Green Party, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Indigo, Violet, WHATEVER! It doesn't matter, it's your oppinion, and nobody should look down upon you for what you believe, say, or do.

If it's not against the law (which it SURE as HELL is NOT against the LAW) then it's not a problem with me. You can love all you want! Love is love no matter who or what for. It's not wrong to love god, and he's a man, so what's wrong with loving your fellow man?

For number 3... RIGHT You CAN'T see the future... So why are you assuming the worst? (I guess I'm assuming the worst... or at least my oppinion of the worst you could be assuming...) Why not be optimistic and think that there IS no apparent immediate harm? Hell what about gay people helping the world? Ever consider that? Hmm? I know that most people haven't.

Also, Geeogree... you make it sound like LOVE isn't a need with number 4. That love is an impulse. Is that what you believe? Also, how is it unnatural? Did somebody make a chemical that they shoot into their arms, that makes them gay? A radioactive star exploded and out popped gay people? NO they came from Humans, they are humans, and it is ALL natural.

A way of thinking is all it is. A sexual preference... Hell, it's a preference! What's wrong with people with a different preference than you? That's all it is! I like Vanilla better than Strawberry Icecream. I like women better than men. My friend Travis likes Strawberry, and likes men.
