Back in 2008,my sister got me a game for game boy advance, this game was the fairly odd parents breaking da rules. My memories are really fond of this game,It was too bad my sister returned the game back to gamestop like after 5 days. It was a really fun game but did it have to get returned that soon? Now 4 years later I found this game on the gba section and I'm all like "Hey I remember that game! Then I played it,because after 4 years,I forgot what the game looked liked,so question is,does this game still hold up today like it did 4 years ago? Let's find out!
Story-8/10 The game begins with Vicky sleeping on the couch, then anti fairies come in and do nothing I suppose...then Timmy says he got kicked out of the house by Vicky so she can take a nap,Timmy then says "I wish Vicky never existed!" Then Wanda says that's against the rules then the anti fairies come and steal the book.Jorgen Von strangle then comes to tell Cosmo and Wanda that because the book is stolen,he is now demoting them to 3rd class fairies.Their powers are limited as 3rd class fairies. Now it's up to Timmy turner to save the book from the from the anti-fairies.
Gameplay-7/10 Breaking da rules is a shooter game much like hey! Contra for the nes! In fact this game is even a 1 hit death game like contra! Ok I was saying,Timmy is armed with a blaster gun which can shoot and also be upgraded at certain points. As Timmy, you will fighting frogs, flies, anti-fairies,etc.So this licensed game is one of a kind.Maybe the game is not as bad as I remember it!
Graphics-7/10 For the gba this is not bad,the backgrounds look nice, the sprites look nice especially Timmy's sprite. And the enemies look pretty neat. The HUD is also pretty neat too.
Sound-7/10 I (in my perspective) was greeted with ok but creepy menu music. But the BGM is not too bad,but needs work,The sfx are ok also.
Addictiveness-7/10 The game gets fun after a while, but then starts getting repetitive ALOT,shooting the same baddies over and over and over and over again is not what I Remember, not that it is a bad game but still, common sense!
Depth-3/10 After completing the game, there's not that much to go back to,except a cheat mode that can be accessed through the password screen, the various cheats include 10 extra lives,power-ups at anytime.
Difficulty-9/10 The game is easy but REMEMBER! IT IS A ONE HIT DEATH GAME! SO OF COURSE IT'S GONNA BE HARD! There are some extra guys scattered around but there rare.
Overall-6.5/10 So now after playing through this game one more time,I figured out it's not as bad as I remember it,it was an ok shooter for kids.So looking back at this game,it's still good, but it needs work, and i tell you a LOT of work if it's gonna be a contra clone. Anyways Bye!
