I would definitely say red but ash would just keep coming back until he won. Red has a hugely balanced and power full team and knows how to use them but in retrospect of the whole thing I assumes red was meant to be ash when I first played Pokémon gold silver and crystal as he as the same Pokémon ash catches I could be wrong but u never know it may be coincidence but id still say red all the way he is a powerhouse

I remember watching an episode of the new series, I believe, if I remember right, that his Pikachu lost to Cress's Panpour. A WATER type. Red managed to wipe out Giovanni and Team Rocket, and amounted to more in both the manga and the games that Ash never will.    Red is better but you can't tell what level his Pikachu is based off of a game. Also, you can not judge Ash's Pikachu's level because he is not in the game. But, Red is a lot better because all of his Pokémon are fully evolved and if he were to ever face Ash his Pokémon would likely be at a very high level. Ash doesn't like to evolve his Pokémon, so that would hurt him in a battle against Red and he would probably get crushed by him. I think that Ash and Red should fight if there were ever to be a final Pokémon episode, it would be awesome. But, the chances of that happening are very slim and the chances of there being a final Pokémon episode would also be very slim because Pokémon is still very popular and kids and people are still watching the anime.

I guess i would say that red is better than ash. I just like the pokemon he uses more than i like ash's pokemon selections. I just don't like that he uses all of the starters from that region most of the time. Like he used venusaur blastoise and charizard that one time.
