Sonic 3 was released in 1994 and sold 1.02 copies. This game was actually one of the first games I played and I have it on an actual Genesis.

The games graphics are very impressive and show the genesis's graphical capabilities. SEGA did a great job with the background's, and used parallax scrolling to it's limit. If you don't know what parallax scrolling means, I'll tell you. It means that there are several layers in a screen. When you move each of those layers moves on it's own giving the background a much more realistic feel. SEGA also did a great job with the characters. They all look very detailed and well done.

The music is pretty good. Definitively more advanced music that lasts a slightly longer than the previous Sonic games. Nothing much to say there.

Sonic 3 isn't as addicting as the previous titles. Mostly because the gigantic stages that are about 3 times the size of the previous titles. In fact it usually takes me 7 minutes to get through act 2 on the carnival night zone. That's very long for a sonic game.

The story is kind of simple. Robotnik's "Death Egg" (which is totally copied of from Star Wars) crash landed on Angel Island. After the last battle of Sonic 2. To get Sonic and Tails out of the way Robotnik tricks the guardian Knuckles into thinking that Sonic and Tails are trying to steal the chaos emeralds. So now Knuckles is trying to kill Sonic and Tails. With the guardian out of the way now Robotnik try's to steal the chaos emeralds. So he can repair and refuel the death egg and capture more innocent animals.

This game really doesn't have much to offer there's save files, 2 characters to chose from Sonic and Tails or both at the same time, 6 zones with 2 acts in each them, 2 player, and of course the special stages.

I really didn't find playing this game difficult. Although when I was 6 It was a lot harder.

That is a good review, I have played this game, but unfortunalty, it is very short with only 12 acts and 6 zones. More zones could make it more fun, but I enjoy the sonic 3 and sonic & knuckles lock-on game, the lock-on is my most favorite game of all time.

Once again, that was a pretty good review, especially from a new member. Keep up the good work and someday, you might become staff in the future.

Great game really loved the way it played and the graphics weren't too bad at all, not a bad play at all, everyone should give it one try at some point, it least once, great game overall, just not a 5 out of 5 though.
