fighting brock was hard when i had pikachu so i need lots of training to beat him it is good to train one of the bird type Pokémon in the area  to level 13 before fighting him

I myself like to train both a Pikachu and a Pidgey to about level 15. That way, they both become stronger, and Pikachu learns Quick Attack. You could also catch a Caterpie and evolve it into a Butterfree. Butterfree's Confusion comes in handy. You could also catch a Nidoran (male or female) and a Mankey and train it until it learns a fighting type move.

I like how when you have a Electric type, Brock has frigging' Rock types.

Yup, it does sound surely fair to me! Getting you butt kicked by a freaking rock type gym leader!

I usually have my Pidgey repeatedly use Sand Attack on Geodude and Onix, then I just have Pikachu or Pidgey finish it off. It works every time.
