pretty good, i haven't gotten a single pop-up yet with chrome

If you had avast!, it scans the file being downloaded before you even get it on your computer, and stops the connection if there is a virus.
However, for security, I suggest Firefox.

Whitelisting of javascript with no-script, no other browser has that, so no other browser is as secure. Oh and chrome cannot even turn off javascript which SUCKS.

Edit: I said that wrong, other browsers also has whitelisting but no browser has it as simple as Firefox has it.

And Firefox automatically keeps you up to date, thus eliminating possibilities of cracks in the wall of security.
And Firefox has a super huge range of add-ons available for it, and you can make your own, so you can add anything from website checkers to super security.

All REAL browsers have that. In other words: all browsers except IE.

as IE tries NOT to keep you updated on security. That way, you won't download any viruses disguised as security programs

On a side note, javascript IS NOT java. .

I have not seen a popup in ALONG time actualy. Its almost the standard in all browsers.

As for browser RAW SPEED, do you actualy know how much faster it loads. FF dosnt take long for me, if Opera10 is 2x as fast.. omg.. my page loads in about 500ms! Its not that big of a deal to me really.

Just incase peopel didnt fully grasp what "porn mode" is, as mentioned by DM. This is what Google calls it, you can imagine though with them knowing what goes through their search engines it probably isnt to suprising as to why the embedded this.

Dont use IEX.X.. you'll regret it later.
What Chrome looses in memory, it gains in multi-processing (multi-core CPU's take most use of this).
On average opera (both 9 and 10) came out to be the best, especialy dealing with laggy sites (aol.com).
But for customization and memory usage, I have to give the gold medal to firefox.

Aye, your results found what mine found.. when it comes to tab'ed browsing Firefox is ahead. Good ol' firefox, guess ill stick with my Chrome... having a duel core cpu, its apparently good

I'm all about the Firefox. I've liked others, just not IE. Oh no, never IE. I want to just uninstall it but just today I came across an issue of something I was trying to use not working then part of the issue was that I hadn't updated IE ever and it needed to be at least IE 5. What the hell is that about, anyway? It wasn't like the program used IE to function. Stupid Microsoft. *shakes a fist*

I'm done now. Anyway, I like Firefox but might be open to checking out this Google Chrome I hear of. This is actually the first I've heard of it.

Yeh, never liked IE, but I keep it there and updated for a few reasons.
1. Web dev. Always need to test in IE
2. Lots of things need IE to run on windows.

Always keep IE updated, it's a central part of windows and needs to be updated for security reasons.

I realize now I need to keep it updated, yeah. And BigBob, you could say that I have indeed been under a rock. I didn't have internet from early May '08 to this past Saturday.
