Batman Arkham City surprised us all with the ending. Batman walking out of the Theater with Joker in his arms dead. Some believe that Batman showed more emotion that Joker was dead then that of the lost of his love Tala. Some also believe that Joker was the complete opposite of what Batman stands for. On Tuesday May 29, the best game of the year addition is released as well as two DLC Batman year one and Harley Quinn’s Revenge.
Harley Quinn’s Revenge is two more hours add on to the Arkham City story. Taking place only days after the death of Joker, it looks like Harley has taken over where Joker has left off. However, instead of playing as Batman you play as Robin who is searching for his missing partner. That is right, Batman is missing and his colleagues are worried. The game play doesn’t change for Robin, there is still detective mode, and the fighting is almost the same. Instead of Batarangs you use shurikens, Robins Bo staff becomes a shield, and you can grapple towards people to do a zip kick. Pretty much everything is the same from his downloadable challenge missions. What is cool about this is we get to actually hear Robin talk to Oracle and become Batman’s savior.
However, according to reviews this DLC doesn’t answer most of the questions that some of the fans have been wondering. How is Batman dealing with the death of Joker and Tala? Being able to play as Robin and every once in a while play as Batman in order to fill in the holes as to how Batman became missing in the first place. Makes for a really good DLC that actually for once could be worth the extra $10 to get. As for those unanswered questions? Fans just might have to wait until the next game, a new DLC, or the next chapter in the comic before they get answered.
