We have been receiving a few requests lately for larger games to be made available as single files.
I'd like to take this time to explain why we split games into parts and how this affects you.

1. Having files at a smaller size reduces the chance of timeouts when downloading.
I myself have gotten very frustrated when a 500mb file was at 90% and timed out.

2. To assist with large downloads. Some users may have difficulty downloading very large files.

3. By having multiple parts, we reduce stress load on the fileserver, thus making downloads faster for you.

4. Corrupted downloads. This sometimes happens due to varying circumstances.
This is another major reason why smaller .rar archives are used.

For example, if a crc check fails when extracting an archive that contains a PSX ISO image split into small .rar files,
you will only need to re-download a 50MB file.
If the PSX ISO wasn't split into small .rar files and a crc-check failed, you would need to re-download the whole file,
wasting valuble bandwidth and time.

I hope this has gone some way to explaining what effect split files has on you.
As always, I thank you and welcome any future questions and comments

I knew this, but is it possible to, well not put it totally together, but make it into half of what it usually is?
as instead of 12 parts, its around 6?

yeah im always looking into ways to do this with the new games, the existing games though are normally left "as is" so that anyone who needs a part doesnt have to start again

no need to worry, because when you get the parts you just extract them and they become one file in the end

Anyway, it's nice to know.

How do you make te parts into one. All of the files inside the extracted file you need to extract again and they are all the same name so I can't pull them all out...I'm new at this.

I remember when I was a noob I said "Having all of the large files into 1 download would be better than having to download all those different parts". Now I'm explaining to the noobs why we do it...big change lol.
Anyways, I once downloaded DragonballZ Legends ROM for Saturn and it never loaded. It always got to about 96% and quit. With the rom in parts, the loading is never an issue.

Download all the files and put them in a folder together, since the files are all linked together, unpack one of them and the rest will unpack aswell.
