I was so disappointed with this game after the 2 hour long intro of it I realized that there is no movement in this game. You go one direction and that's it. No side quests or missions that you have to run around for hours trying to accomplish. I actually threw the game out after those two hours. My friend had to dig his copy of the game out of the trash because quite frankly I believed that's where it belonged. I rarely have anything poor to say about a game because I always try to rate it on what it was trying to be. For what the game was trying to be I'm sure it was good. But it was not a Final Fantasy game in my opinion. I am now currently working on FF13-2 and it is way better. The story from both are good and they really stepped up to make their wrong right. I was really worried they wouldn't be able to come back from that, but so far it seems like they are working on making it right for us gamers.

If you liked all the other final fantasys you probably wont like this one. Its not the same at all. There is nothing to explore its "you start here you finish here" a game as it self might have been ok but it did NOT get good reviews at all from the Final Fantasy community. But you if you want to play it I suggest watching the story on youtube and reading the story somewhere then playing Final Fantasy 13-2. Way better.

But I hear it gets better once you're about 20 hours in! Lol, yeah, this game was really disappointing. This is the first game I've really even considered returning... and I bought it used! Yeah, after a while I realized that I would get the exact same experience playing the game as I would watching a let's play, and let's plays of bad games are usually more entertaining the playing a bad game. I just can't get over how bad the game design is. No choices at all.
