Yellow Jackets... These are some nasty buggers. BE PREPARED A TRUE STORY IS COMING~
Me & Alex Running In The Woods!
Me and my trusty pal Alex were running around in the woods, climbing trees, to see who could climb the highest, etc. We also went to this place we call "The Falls" And when we were there we had this thing where we were on a ledge and we tried to jump on to a sandy platform, once we did that we drank from the falls, and soon enough we were being stung.... JEEZUS! Time to run!?!?!??!?!?! So we were literally almost 2 miles down hill from where we needed to be, so we had to bolt uphill for two miles! And these things were VERY persistent, we were nearing the end of the woods, and we stopped to breathe, and check our stings, Alex was slower than I was, and he was stung badly on his back and chest! But I couldn't look at them now... Because there was a yellow jacket... on his... um... area where he keeps his boys at. So he said give me that stick. And I gave him the stick and he smashed it before it stung his... stuff. And we were getting stung more after that! So we had to run VERY slanted up hill now, and at this point we were slightly rested and beat the yellow jackets in the last mile. And when we got to my house, Alex was going to pass out from the stings, he was becoming nauseous, and I gave him 2 allergy pills and he took them and felt better, I checked his stings and mine, and we were both pretty badly stung as I said earlier. But I have a new respect for yellow jackets now, as they are EXTREMELY PERSISTENT!

No and I hope I never do.

Bees and Wasps scare me more than anything.

I've been bitten by a few bugs here and there like mosquitoes.

But I hope that I never encounter a sting witha bee or a wasp because i'd probably die of fear.

I have as well. I have been stung by a wasp, a hornet (worse than the wasp by a long shot), and  fire ants (they do have stingers, for those who thought they just bite). The wasp sting happened when I was a kid playing near our shed. We had no idea it had a wasp nest in it, and I ended up getting stung right behind my ear. It was nasty as it made the hair roots around there get a bit infected. The hornet, like I said, was way worse than that though (even though hornets are just a different type of wasp). There were a few buzzing around, but I just kept walking to my next class because if you don't do anything to piss them off, they won't hurt you. Well, I accidentally stepped on one (saw the bug carcass on my shoe later that day), and they let of a pheromone when they die to alert the rest, so they came swarming. Not knowing I had stepped on one, I just walked calmly as to not look threatening to them, but then they just started stinging like crazy. Ended up getting 14 stings altogether. The fire ants have happened on more than one occasion. I think most of you know what ant stings are like. They hurt, make the area of your skin hard, puffed, and super irritated for about a week. 

Though this doesn't technically count as a 'sting', I have gotten bitten by a brown recluse as well. It sucks as they are the one spider in the US that I am actually afraid of. It got the bony part of the outside of my right ankle. It decomposed the skin around that area. Lucky for me, I noticed it when it happened so I could get treated early. So the area never got larger than 2 inches in diameter. That whole area had no skin for a while though. Just one round puss pocket that, when cleaned away, you could see muscle underneath. It took 2 months for the skin to completely close. It was nasty. 

I've been stung by bees and wasps frequently in random parts of my body as a child (and YES it was painful!) Not anymore though because I'm an introverted person, so I avoid outdoors unless I have to go someplace - giving the chances of getting stung, unlikely.

Now with the recent change of weather, it's attracting mosquito's and numerous other bugs! I tend to get bit by mosquito's nowadays...they're swarming everywhere, it's quite disgusting actually!

I was stung by a wasp a few times when I was 5 years old and boy did it hurt. Other than that I've been bitten by Mosquitoes and a few others as well. I've been using bug spray on me for the past month and a half to avoid being bitten.

I have got stung by a bee once in 3rd grade, it stung my middle finger, and I was in a pool and drowned the bee. I was crying after I drowned it. It hurt absolutely bad! NOT FUNNY, ANYONE!!!

I think the only time I have actually been stung was eight grade. In Biology, sometimes we had a day off and we went out back and wasted a class getting fresh air and *shudders* sunshine.

Anyways, apparently, somebody managed to go disturb a beehive on the way back in. Not on the way out, not the entire time outside, but the way in. And of course, this being a sttep slope, I was slow getting back up and got stung. On my head. As in, under my hair. Yeah, I don't get it either.

I got attacked by some green hornets. I swell up like a blimp. Very painful. I have also been bit by a brown lucluse.   

Yes, I was stung by a bee once as a kid.

I have never gotten stung by a bug, seeing as how spiders are not considered bugs, and I have been bitten by a Big Daddy Long Leg before while I slept.

A couple of times when I was young . I was stung by these flying bugs that would
suck the blood out of my skin when I was at the beach . It hurt more than a misqitoe
bite.Never knew what that bug was . It was kind of big .

I have never been stung by an insect, but I have been bitten my many mosquitoes.

Klutch : What an interesting story you have told.

My senior year of high school was the first time I really remember being stung by a bee. I was at the district tournament for tennis and I was doing very well. I had just won the first set fairly easily against the number one girl of a different high school. (I was something like number eight on my team [our school is significantly better than most other high schools]). Then my head suddenly became itchy. I scratched at it and felt something on my head. I tried to pull it out when I felt a sharp pain in my finger. I looked at what I had tossed on the ground and discovered it was a bee that had landed on my head. It was a significant enough pain that I then lost my next two sets and the game despite getting some ice for it.

One time, I got stung by a bee/wasp thing. I don't think I ever found out what it was but it was extremely painful at the time.
