Everyone says Raticate is an awful Pokemon (and admittedly, it's not very good), but mine seems to be pretty decent in the Battle Tower... I've made it through four battles, and Raticate's only fainted twice, once due to recoil in order to finish off that pesky Teddiursa.

I really have grown to enjoy Bleach. The first time I saw it, I thought it was very asinine, but about a month ago, when I was having so much trouble sleeping, I watched it (only because there's nothing else on at 2 am, and I couldn't sleep) and I got hooked. Now I need to catch up to where I started watching it, because I started with episode 100-something. Or maybe 200-something, I'm not entirely sure.

Do you also read the manga?

Nope, I don't read anything like that. I've never even read real comic books.

The Battle Tower is a facility introduced in Pokemon Crystal in which you choose a team of Pokemon (three or four, depending on battle type, or two if you're doing a linked challenge in Gen. III and IV) and fight your way through a series of trainers. You don't get experience, and your Pokedex isn't updated. Rather, after clearing a round of 7 trainers, they are awarded 5 of each vitamin in Gen II, and Battle Points in Gen. III and IV, which can be spent on items.
The Gen. II rules and restrictions are as follows:
* All Pokémon must be less than or equal to the level of battle challenged. Levels are in intervals of 10.
* No two Pokémon can be holding the same item.
* Items cannot be used by Trainers on their Pokémon.
* Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, and Celebi are only allowed to be entered if the level chosen is 70 or higher. Pokémon eggs are not allowed to enter.
In Gen. III, the level modes are 50 and 100, with 100 being replaced in Emerald by "Open Level", in which the opponents' Pokemon are the same level as your strongest, with a minimum of level 60. Also, Pokemon's levels were shrunk to 50 when entering Pokemon of a higher level in the level 50 class. One other change is that specific legendaries, namely the restricted ones from the previous generation plus Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, and Deoxys, are not allowed to enter at all.
Gen IV didn't change too much, but the most notable difference is the presence of only one level cap, 50, to which all Pokemon of a higher level were changed.
As of Gen. IV, these Pokemon are not allowed to enter:
Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin,
Arceus, Egg, and Manaphy Egg.
Also, a Pokemon may not be entered if it is holding the Soul Dew.

No problem . It's kinda hard to understand if you don't put in the rules, restrictions, and differences between regions. It's a very complex battling system, if I do say so myself.

Who is saving up their Viz for something in the item shop? I am going to get maximum stealth sword and hopefully, the refractery shield (That'le take a while to get!) when I save up enough up for it, and after this post, I will probably only need... 5 more Viz to get my sword!

I just bought the laptop, I'd been waiting for that one for a while. My next goal is the Sword Of Vizzed.

BTW, I'm planning on making a new layout, involving a HUD.

I'm saving up for the laptop too. I haven't thought of what I'm going to go after from there, 20k Viz seems like a far away goal for me, since I've been on for about two weeks and only have 2500 Viz.

I say we race, BTowns, I will be trying for the refractory shield after I get the maximum stealth sword, and it is also 20k, so lets see who can get there first. you have the advantage, because I have more work to do and I need 1k more for the sword, but still, I think this will be a good healthy little competition. No spamming, though. K?

are forum where you post? There are so many of them that I highly doubt you'll get in trouble for it. But who knows.... some librarians are super anal about computers being used for anything but "research" or schoolwork.
