Anyhow, a few friends and I are doing a 'Hunter the Vigil' tabletop soon, and I'm building a playlist for my character. The setting is modern day America in a rural Southern town (The GM is homebrewing a fictional town) and my character is an elderly Vietnam War veteran who runs his own bar. I figured the bar would have a jukebox, and went about hunting songs from the 60's and 70's that would fit the setting, but I don't want to use a lot of the songs that are overused, that you would hear on the radio a lot, etc.

I don't want any 'pretty obscure music man' stuff, but I do want some 60's/70's rock and country you don't hear often and was hoping you guys could help me in my search.

I've already got some of the normal songs that'd fit the setting like a glove, but I can't think of anything else to add, nor can I think of any bands and songs from the era that aren't overused.

Have you tried finding the artists that you've already added on Pandora? It can be a great way to find songs and artists that are similar to the ones that you already have. It's helped me find a few artists that aren't really obscure, but that I hadn't heard in a long time, or may have never heard of. It might be able to help you.
