To be fair, they remade Red and Green because they weren't compatible with Ruby and Sapphire. That being said, I still think remakes are inevitable. I'd love to see my beloved Hoenn in lovely 3D

I disagree. I think that the Generation III games of the Pokémon franchise are fine as they are and should be kept that way.

I'm surprised that Game Freak hasn't made a Ruby/Sapphire remake yet, but I hope they do.

I'd prefer to see a remake of Yellow, but I wouldn't mind having a Blaziken again to wreak the Hoenn region.

There has been talk saying that they plan on making Ruby and Sapphire for the 3DS. I honestly think it would be cool. I miss my Blaziken and Flygon...and Walrein for that matter.

pokemon leaf green is a remake
pokemon heartgold is a remake

so yeah a couple of remkaes there

I think so, since they are probably the most popular game in the series.

There will more than likely to be remakes. Nuff said.

However, the reason Red/Green got remakes is because there needed to be a way to get the national dex completed on the GBA without the use of AR. Getting the three starters without remakes were pretty difficult.... plus the other Pokémon that were both unavailable in R/S/E. The reason G/S got the remakes was just demand. I see no other reason other than the fans wanting it. 

I just find it weird that Generation III all of a sudden is one of the best generations of all times after someone mentions the word "remake". Not that I hate it, but I just find it very odd, since generation III was hated quite a while back.

I want a remake for sure!

those games r totaly fine. most remakes make the game easqier and i think the difficulty of ruby and sapphire r just fine with me. seriosly some remakes go too far out, i think the only thing that should be changed in these remakes is the graphics. the difficulty should have stayed the same as the gen 1 games. at least those games were challengin. seriosly

Yes! And it definitely should be for the 3DS because they need to put out more games for the 3DS so people actually will buy the thing!

I think Pokemon in general gets remakes too much. Really, it took them a long time to depend on more than just having different Pokemon to make things different. But even still, the core point of them is pretty much the same every time. You have a rival, you want to be Pokemon Master, you get badges, beat the last group of trainers, beat your rival, and wonder around as you please. Seems the only ones doing particularly different things are hacks. So no, I don't think there should be remakes. Most Pokemon games are remakes already in a sense.

As much as I would love it on 3DS, I still would vote no on it.

Reason being is that the DS is still living and will for a while still. While putting the supposed RS remakes for DS, they would probably be working on brand new engines to work on for generation 6, which would release on the 3DS. Personally, and others would more than likely agree, I would love to see the brand new engine and mechanics to be released on 3DS. Shoving a remake before a next Gen. release feels like spoiling the fun of the next generation because we'll expect what the game will feel like instead of a brand new experience. Sure, BW has that feel, but it wasn't the same as playing DP for the first time on a large memory cartridge. Letting remakes take that makes me feel that it'll only appeal to nostalgics instead of the whole fanbase itself.

I know it's just me ranting, but it's how I feel overall about it.

Now that I think of it you're right, but I feel like they are going to wait for the 10 year anniversary which would be 2013, so I doubt that it would still be on the DS.

I wouldn't mind if there was one. I actually think there probably will be one eventually.

For this I have to most definitely say yes! Although the third gen was my least favourite  of them all I have to admit Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald were really fun! I hope they do get re-made!
