I liked both networks but I preferred Cartoon Network, I like shows like Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken, Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Teen Titans, Samurai Jack(They should really have had a ending for it). Today both networks are not that great, but I still prefer CN. 

Really prefer cartoon network than Nickelodeon

Mine is cartoon network from back than when toonmai was on at 5pm 5 days a week and have great animes and cartoons now it mostly sucks expect for satuaday nights when toonami is back and give it from midnight to 3am.

I liked the old Cartoon Network with Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo and shows like that. Now I don't really watch CN at all. I'll have to say Nick's shows since I watch those shows morenowadays.

Really, there's only few things that could be said about these legendary channels. One, they were both way better (in my opinion) in the 90's. Two, they both have their share of great cartoons that brightened our childhoods, and or made it way more inappropriate. I think Cartoon Network wins it. Sorry Nick, you just haven't been pumping out the great content like you used to.

Back in the day, which for me was the late 90's and early 2000's, I thought both Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network were great for certain programming.  Cartoon Network had the really cool cartoons, plus their website had the best games, while Nick had the game shows and who could forget the slime?  Now, I only occasionally check out Cartoon Network if my niece and nephew are watching it.  I still check out Nick for the few game shows they have on and for some odd reason I kind of like iCarly and Victorious, so personally I'm a bigger current fan of Nickelodeon.  
Of course, as television today seems to go, that could change at any minute as shows that are hits one season can meet the sharp end of the network's ax the very next.  Not to mention every network from the big 4 (CBS, ABC, NBC, and Fox) to the cable/satellite mainstays have a bevy of rising star laden pilots ready to spit out mid-season if needed.
Given the trend that both Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon have started, neither one is going away anytime soon as both have popular, t-shirt inspiring shows, but personally, over the years, Nickelodeon has grown with me while Cartoon Network has "grown", but not especially grown up.

Back in the day I loved both equally, because they both had epic shows. Now I would have to choose CN, but only because it has Adult Swim. Both of their daytime programs have gone horribly wrong.

I have a hard time sleeping so I watch Teen Nick at like 2:15 and it's those good 90's shows

I would say that Nickelodeon is better because it has more good channels like icarly and victorious in my opinion.

Yeah the old cartoon network was the best but now since they got rid of the best shows I don't watch it all. I now watch stuff like law and order

I love cartoonnetwork more than nick. Nicks shows are boring now and all the good ones are over. I didn't even watch nick until my brother told me about it and I only watched it for a few years. Cartoonnetwork I like because of edd ed n eddy, Naruto, adventure time, and the commercials. My favorite show is regular show and I watched almost every episode. The only thing bad about cartoonnetwork is that some shows are only 15 minutes with commercials!

Yeah those channels use to be good until they start putting weird show. I don't want to put the name in this post, because I know it might offend people who like those type of show.

Cartoon Network. Regular Show, MAD TV, Adventure Time, Amazing World of Gumball.... It's incrible man. Nick is "mais ou menos"
