Are you referring to Ritalin? I'm not a licensed psychiatrist but I'm sure if it's your first time adjusting to new medication, it's most likely a common and/or minor side effect. If it becomes bothersome and intolerant after awhile you'd have to speak with your doctor and parents for an alternative medication.

Also, this doesn't seem to fit in the Polls and Questions forum, so I'll move it to Your Forum.

Most pharmacies offer a pamphlet with new medications, explaining dosage and possible side effects, including ones that require immediate medical attention. I would look it over if you're worried.

However, fevers with anxiety/behavioral medication isn't as common as with an antibiotic or something that would be interfering with your antibodies and natural defenses. And even then, a fever isn't usually as common as headaches/diarrhea/nausea. 'Feeling warm' isn't necessarily indicative of a fever either. If you suddenly get sweaty or shaky, or have the chills, that's more signs of a fever. Next time you feel uncomfortable, check your temperature with a thermometer or have someone else feel your forehead, since when you're feverish all of you will feel too hot or too cold, and therefore using your hands to feel yourself is redundant.

I'm sure you're fine though, and if you do have a fever, it's much more likely that it's from a cold or a bug than with your medication. =)

According to Drugs.com common side effects of methylphenidate hydrochloride (Ritalin) are dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, nervousness, stomach pain, and trouble sleeping.

But you should stop taking and consult a doctor if you experience any fever, chills, or sore throat, among other things. Of course, before you do that, as KG said, you need to use a thermometer to check your temperature.

And for future reference, with ANY medication you are taking, if something doesn't feel right, you should start by reading the warning labels and if they're unavailable, calling your doctor or a local pharmacy/chemist. Asking for health advice on a video games forum is just asking for trouble.
