AuraBlaze :   I have thrown the idea of animating around in my head. I actually have one planned that involved spriting and animating a fakemon I designed a long long time ago. Maybe I'll try that. Then you guys can tell me if you'd ever want to catch it in a pokemon game XD

It's just a hobby to me. I'm actually majoring in marine biology. I don't really see me as good enough to make art my career. Especially when I hop around Deviantart.

Okay, here's something new from me.

It's not done yet. I still have to shade it, but this is my first attempt to animate a pokemon sprite, so I'm kind of excited to hear what you guys think.



It's name is Necreon, my ghost type eeveelution fakemon. 



Necreon the zombie pokemon (or bone-tail pokemon. I haven't picked one.)
Necreon is the ghost type evolution of Eevee.
The first known Necreon was discovered wild in a cemetery and it is believed an eevee must be around the deceased in order to trigger this evolution. Because of this, when a Necreon is spotted nowhere near a grave site, police will investigate the area in search of a missing body or possible murder case.
Necreon have a second spirit like form that renders them intangible like their ghost pokemon kin. Their bones are incredibly strong and near unbreakable, particularly in the tail. The bone tail can move quite fast and can deal a dangerous blow.... especially the sharp edged tip.
Necreon's skin does not receive a proper blood supply, thus why it gives off the appearance of rotting flesh.


I designed Necreon a few years ago, and I'm surprised how many people actually like the little guy. It's for that reason I wanted to sprite him.




Would anyone want one of these in your pokemon games? Anyone?

Well... I must say I'm intrigued at the very least. You do a very good job on these. I wouldn't mind seeing more, what else can you do?

pacman1755 : I create my sprites on good old MS Paint. Sometimes I work from scratch, opening a new blank page and just drawing with the mouse, or I'll sketch it by hand first, scan it, and trace it in paint. I use Gimp to remove the background. I also use Gimp for re-colors as well as to save animations. Animations are created frame by frame, stacked on top of one another.
