I'm not going to be planning all that much. My girlfriend is going to be in a different country around that time. =/


I should still do something for beforehand, though...

Well... KG and I have a tradition that I buy her the most obnoxious box of candies I can find. Then we're probably going out to a local restaurant, Molly MacPherson's Scottish Pub and Grill. Maybe we'll do something more, but that depends on if we can find a sitter. And then we'll do some things I can't say on this forum, but I'll put it this way: In the words of Sly Fox, "Let's Go All the Way".

I don't actually celebrate Valentines Day. None of my family does. I know it might sound a bit weird that I don't but, I just don't really like it

You know what, I am doing absolutely nothing for Valentine's Day, from what I can see possibly happening. I don't have any girl or anything to take out or something, mainly because I really don't have an interest in the girls around here, and even if I did want to take them out (or at least some of my best girl friends), they would usually pick other people to go out with over me. =/

I'm not really doing anything nothing to do really, I have no friends or anything so it's not like I can go hang out with them. I'll just listen to people talk about how amazing their day was and such.

All I know it that it will be better than last year.  Last year it was the day before I had a colonoscopi done so I had to spend the day cleaning my guts out with miralax.  Not even a single peice of chocolate I could have!  T.T

This year hopefully my dad gets me some chocolate it's a gamble on if he feels like getting me chocolate to cheer me up.  My whole family we give each other something little on valentines day.   Not everyone can have a date!  We feel it's a horrible holiday it makes those without a special someone feel like crud.  So it's nice if you get even just one piece of chocolate from family~

Other than that I will be babysitting so my parents can go out on a date.

I don't know yet, especially considering it's a school night and my girlfriend's parents probably won't let her do anything . I'll see what I can manage with my crazy schedule though, hopefully we can pull something off.

Valentines day: It's like any other day of the year, except it's owned by Hallmark!

thenumberone : Oh it's definitely very Americanized, but it's about as Scottish as we get here in the States, and you know what? Even if it's not real Scottish, it's a darn sight better than Ruby Tuesday or any of that other crap.

Now, if only we still lived in Fort Myers... We'd go out to Biddle's. That gets expensive though, last time we ate there the bill came out to about $150!

Only God knows what I'll do on V-day, but all I can say is that I'll be spending it alone.....

I'm pretty pumped, and hoping Lazlo can get Valentine's Day off. If so, we'll probably take our daughter to the park, and just chump around. We don't have the luxury of a babysitter or any family close buy, so intimate dates and such are very, very seldom. But, we're gonna go out to eat like he said, eat the chocolate's he knows better than not to buy me, then we will do the activity required to use the present I bought for him (note: This isn't referring to sex). Then later, we'll be cute and romantic and stuff (note: this is referring to sex).

As for me and my wife we've been  out on many places on our Valentine Dates.This year we'll go to one of the most epic shows in Las Vegas and check out cique du soleil at the MGM Grand Then we'll eat out at the Mandalay Bay.

Well... it's a Tuesday. That means I'll be in class all day long, and maybe taking a nap between classes. My boyfriend lives about 2 hours away. In the middle of the week, we can't exactly see each other. Plus both of us are broke. When we can get together we'll probably just watch Dr. Who and maybe make dessert or something. We won't do gifts probably, because either we go WAY over the top or we don't do gifts at all. I've gotten a huge box of chocolates and I have a giant teddy bear that sits on my computer chair more than I do. I really do think it's a silly day... though it's a nice concept. Technically days to celebrate love are anniversaries. Valentine's day is just a day to eat chocolate, have a lot of pink and red, and buy cards and candy for no reason... (well and the valentine thing they do in schools... that makes the holiday worth it to those under the age of 12.)  Though really, it's no big deal, just another day of the year, not like they cancel school or work or anything.

I have an interview on that day, which I'm both stoked and nervous about.  The day before that, I'm teaching a lesson on Valentine's Day to an ESL class, which is part of my practicum.

Valentines day...I will probably be working that day and theres a 50% chance I will be going somewhere on some financial busienss but as far as relationships goes...honestly I never had luck with that aspect. Not many ladies I would go with, and the few one would consider good I can't because already in relationships, they would choose other people over me or...simply put, we just don't think that way of each other. To me its essentially just another day on the calender.

Well I'm going to be working Tuesday night, so my girlfriend will be home alone.

Fortunately I have a surprise in store for her.

I know my girlfriend loves cake, candles, girly things, Disneyland, flowers, black licorice, pink, and purple.  She also has a 3 year old daughter who loves the exact same things, including everything princess related.

So I'm making a couple of valentines day gift bags, and filling them with chocolates and candies of various kinds, cards, and I'm going to leave some roses of various colors in a vase, and all of there for her to find when I get home.

The fun part is that I am making everything Alice in Wonderland themed.

-The cupcakes I am having professionally decorated to look like the "Eat Me" picnic cakes in the movie.
-Roses will be red, white, and partial red to simulate the "painting the roses red".  Her name also happens to be Rose.
-I've printed out images of the various disney characters, I plan to decorate the fridge with these characters so her daughter can move them around with magnets to play with.
-Also planning to play the music from the movie using a youtube playlist, so she will hear the songs playing when she walks in the door.

Need ideas:  Can anyone make any other suggestions that don't require a lot of extra money spending?  I want to do something fun to make a "drink me" bottle for her.  All I can think of using is her Ameretto bottle she has.  I know she likes wine and grapefruit sparkly drinks.
