EPISODE 7- The Hatch

Jigsaw's actions

He stared at the numbers on each of the corresponding directional forks, and he decided to pick the lowest set of numbers first: 4~8, which was the left fork. Stepping down the left hallway, the metal clanked under Jigsaw's feet; some of the lights on the floor were flickering on and off repeatedly.

He passed a door that was partially opened. He creaked it open some more and quietly waltzed in. Someone was sitting in an office chair.
JIGSAW: Well, hello there!

There was no reply; the person seemed to be ignoring him. When Jigsaw quietly walked over to the man and put his hand on his shoulder; the body fell onto the floor.
JIGSAW: What the crap!
He looked up to the screen to see Tons of data at work.

'ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD 54463 PROCESSING. PRESS 'SHIFT+END' TO ABORT.'

Jigsaw looked at the giant keyboard, held down shift, and went for the end key when he heard something behind him click.

???: Back up.
Jigsaw turned around.
JIGSAW: Who are you--- whoa!? gun?!
???: It's great to see you....

...Brother!

Benny's actions

BENNYMD: Who are you?
ROY: The name's Roy.
BENNYMD: So why exactly are you blocking my way to the key?
ROY: You really don't wanna turn that; it'd really be a mistake on your part.
BENNYMD: What, does it open some sort of incredibly magical hatch that leads to an underground base---
ROY: Yes; yes, it does.
BENNYMD: So much for trying to make a joke....
ROY: Just don't turn the key; it'll save everyone a whole load of trouble.

BennyMD knew turning the key would unleash some dire consequences, according to this guy, but he was just so curious as to what was actually going to happen if he turned it.

BENNYMD: How exactly do you know about this hatch?
ROY: Because I've been on this island for three years.

JIGSAW
???: Now, if you just---
Jigsaw punched the man in the face and took the gun from his hand. It fired once and hit the screen behind him. Jigsaw pointed the gun at the man and his heart pounded fiercely.
???: What’re you doing?! Put it down!
JIGSAW: Not until you tell me exactly what the hell you’re doing here.
He held the gun closely and stared the man down, scanning his every move and waiting for something to happen.
???: And why would I tell you anything?
Jigsaw cocked the gun and threatened further.
???: Oh, right…
Jigsaw: I suggest you start talking.
The man moved to a seat nearby and plopped down. He looked up at Jigsaw and then sighed.
???: This was no accident; mom sent you here.




BENNYMD: Well, why exactly did you come to this exact spot on the island…?
ROY: Because we knew you were going to land here.
BennyMD’s heart raced. They KNEW this would happen..? Who were ‘they’, anyway? He looked down to the hatch and walked away.
BENNYMD: Come with me, you’ve gotta meet the others.
ROY: I bet they’d be helpful…
BennyMD walked to DM and pointed at Roy.
BENNYMD: There’s someone I’d like you to meet. This is Roy, he’s been on this island for three years.
DM: Um.. hello, random island troll…
ROY: Dragon Master, ha, always trying to crack jokes.
DM: How the hell---
ROY: I know all about you. WE know all about you, and Benny, and Jigsaw, iBOCK, Belial, everyone. All of you landed here and survived for a reason.
DM: And that reason is?
ROY: That, my friend, you’ll have to find out over time.





Through the woods he sprinted, constantly chasing the vast invisible destination for several minutes on end. He finally stopped when he came across a series of metal poles. They looked really suspicious.
iBOCK3: Um, that’s not totally random…
He walked slowly up to them and noticed there was a rock on the ground. He threw it in between the poles and it stopped in midair. It started shaking, cracking; A loud piercing noise emerged from the poles and the rock turned into dust.
iBOCK3: Holy….

<--- Fires the gun

- Pressing button? Naw I would rather shoot someone since I know what the outcome to it is.

- Continue to talk to the crazy man? No way, he is probably drugged out. My mom sent me? I have no clue what he meant by that but thanks for the info I will shoot him now lol.

Good idea benny, bet those combo's you got stuck in your head will come in handy over here Let's try it on all the doors and lockers.

TURN FOR THE WORST


The man sat in the chair, rocking back and forth, not saying a single word. He giggled occasionally, but didn't look at Jigsaw.

Jigsaw held the gun at him, his hand shaking, he tried to squeeze the trigger but didn't have enough strength to push it.
???: Dad always said you were weak.
Jigsaw: Shut up!
???: Do it. Shoot me. Then what?

Jigsaw was breathing heavily, what would he do? If he shot the man stating he's his long lost brother, he'd die and keep secrets hidden to him that Jigsaw may need... But if he doesn't, the man may grab the gun and shoot HIM

Jigsaw: Why are you down here? Why did you find me, who are you?
???: You thought I was lying when I said you were my brother? That mom sent you here? You thought it was a joke... You must've thought I was on drugs'er something.

FLASHBACK
Hospital: East Wing, 4:32 PM
TUESDAY

There they were; two unnamed babies in a cold, bland hospital room. Their mother stood between them, looking at the both of them, weeping. A nurse walked in and put her hand on the mother's shoulder.

NURSE: You can take as much time as you want; We know how hard this is.
PENNY: But... Ugh...
NURSE: I'm sorry. I'll be going now.

Penny put one of her hands on each bed, she could barely stand, the sadness was taking over her. The two innocent babies stared back at her, mumbling senseless babble and turning over to go to sleep.

PENNY: Wait...
NURSE: Yes?
PENNY: When the other couple adopts one of them, I want them to name him Kevin.
NURSE: Absolutely.

The nurse opened the door and left, smiling.

BACK TO PRESENT
KEVIN: I AM your brother. I was the one given up for adoption.
Jigsaw shot Kevin in the right arm, sending Kevin tumbling off the seat.
KEVIN: You're making a mistake...
JIGSAW: No, I'm not...
KEVIN: Please, don't---
Jigsaw pressed the trigger again but it clicked... No more bullets.
KEVIN: We've all been given a gun with one bullet in it. No more. This is to make sure the mortality rate of all of us is low.
JIGSAW: What do you mean, 'us'?
KEVIN: You, me, your friends, the inhabitants....
JIGSAW: Tell me where these damn 'inhabitants' are or I'll find another way to off you.
KEVIN: Why, they're right here, in the looking glass.
JIGSAW: Where in here?!
Kevin stalled, trying to breathe.
KEVIN: You, brother, have to find that out on your own. There's two corridors, right? Pick one... By then they'll know there's an intruder and the other corridor'll be blocked off....
JIGSAW: Tell me which one to take then!
KEVIN: I can't do that!
JIGSAW: Why not?!
KEVIN: Because, Jigsaw, they're watching us, right now
Kevin tossed another bullet at Jigsaw.
KEVIN: Here, mom gave me a spare...
FADE OUT


BennyMD and the others heard a loud roaring coming from under the water... Under Jigsaw's boat. It caused the water to ripple and create small waves. The boat snapped in half and sank.

BENNYMD: What was that?!
ROY: They turned on the siren, dammit...
DM: What frigging siren?!

Roy put his right hand on his forehead and winced in frustration. He looked to the shore, the siren still blaring so loudly it could be heard from above the water.

BENNYMD: Tell us!
ROY: The siren... it...

BennyMD grabbed Roy by the collar and yelled with frustration.
BENNYMD: I thought we could trust you!
ROY: The siren goes off when the looking glass has detected an intruder... That intruder is Jigsaw.

BennyMD let go of Roy and, without thinking, swam to the cable that was floating in the water. He sucked in air and plunged underwater, following the cable to the looking glass.

Gasping for air when he reached the surface, he splashed upward and then floated with a sigh of relief. He looked around to see a door to the left that was closed, and a bunch of lockers behind him.

iBOCK3 knew that if he ran through the fence, the same thing would happen to him as the thing that happened to the rock; and the last thing he wanted to do is turn into dust or explode from the inside. Reading another notebook he hadn't opened, iBOCK3 looked at the front cover:

"SONIC FENCE DECODER"

He flipped to the first page, and there was a diagram showing a switch.
"PASS: '5443912370928'" was written under 'PASSWORD INSTRUCTIONS'

He looked at the sonic fence and saw the switch as described. He looked at the numbers, they were worn down a bit so they were hard to distinguish. Pressing the instructed numbers, he hit the switch and the fence was miraculously turned off.

He stepped through and felt odd, almost tingly. His breathing slowed drastically and he felt his muscles stiffen to the point where he couldn't move them. He fell to the ground and his eyes had a dead stare in them. A little green striped spider crawled away from his leg and he could barely move.

Too many thoughts raced through his mind, he wanted to run after BennyMD but the main question he asked himself was: Should he?

DM: Don't just stand there, go after 'em!
ROY: Why don't you? You haven't been doing too much around here.
Roy, without listening to what else DM had to say, ran into the water and went after Benny.

Belial was one of the only ones who had absolutely no clue as to what was going on. What was everyone doing..?

Roy swam up to the surface and saw BennyMD climbing out of the water.
ROY: Wait!
BENNYMD: What? Roy?! What're you doing here?
ROY: I don't think one person can do too well in a creepy, massive underwater silo.
BENNYMD: You're here to help.. I'm flattered...
BennyMD rolled his eyes and walked onto the metal deck of the base and trudged away from Roy.

FADE OUT

- The lockers are in plain sight. Meaning, this path is not blocked off yet.
- You can never tell what's behind a closed door you haven't been in.

<----Fires again and kills Kevin

-No need to run there is no where to hide.

1. He isnt going anywhere so i really cant go the opposite way.
2. It's better to stay together.
3. Jigsaw killed his brother already so he isn't in danger right now.

FLASHBACK
The streets were barren and dark; the silence was deafening as Penny lay in a dark alley alone, holding the baby she didn’t give away. It cried softly and she smiled. She thought of Kevin and the guilt loomed over her like a haunting shadow.
There was no turning back now; the adoption papers had been signed and now she was in the dark alleyway with a baby and a pocket full of money….

…The baby had no name until over a week later. On Wednesday of the following week, Penny was in her new apartment. The air smelled like a dentist’s office and her money was now gone… And it didn’t all go to baby formula. She fueled her habit without even thinking of the baby she just birthed and kept, the baby she wouldn’t raise…

…The baby that would be named minutes before Penny’s death. She took one last buzzing shot and lay on the bed with silence, without saying a word and without looking at the innocent baby that stared at her with curiosity. Her head involuntarily tilted to the side and she stared at a box, it was a puzzle that was opened and disorganized.
The baby giggled at it and became joyous.
PENNY: You like the Jigsaw puzzle? Ha… That’s what you’ll be named….
Her voice was slurred and she slowly faded into a soft death.
PENNY: Jigsaw…
BACK TO PRESENT
Jigsaw immediately put the bullet in the gun and pointed it at Kevin. There was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. He was in a corner and Jigsaw knew that Kevin wasn’t his brother, he couldn’t be… Right?
KEVIN: C’mon, Jigsaw. Don’t do it.
JIGSAW: Why do you know so much about me? How do you even know my name!?
KEVIN: I wasn’t lying; I really am your brother. Why would I lie about something like that?
JIGSAW: I know you’re lying, I don’t have a brother! I was an orphan; there was no brother by my side.
KEVIN: She gave me up right when I was born. Do you know how--- Do you know how horrible that feels? To just be given up for coke money? I was a barter item to her. At least you have a sense of worth!
JIGSAW: My mom would never do that kind of thing; she was a great woman---
KEVIN: But you never even knew her. Don’t you realize she’s OUR mother? You look exactly like me. And I look just like you. I found out so much about Penny; so many disgusting things about mom that this was one of her better actions.
JIGSAW: Shut up!
Kevin tightened his hand over his wound and winced. He turned out of the chair and stood to his feet. Jigsaw lifted up his gun and pointed it at Kevin’s head.
KEVIN: What are you doing…?
JIGSAW: Something I should’ve done before this conversation started.
He cocked the gun and was ready to pull the trigger but something behind him clicked. He felt paralyzed a few seconds later, dropped the gun, and fell to the floor.
KEVIN: Hello, Benjamin.
Benjamin Linus: I take it he didn’t believe you?
KEVIN: Who’d believe their twin brother would just pop out of nowhere, conveniently in the room he was in?
Benjamin Linus: I guess you’re right. Well, he’ll learn the truth soon enough.
KEVIN: That was close; he almost killed me.
Benjamin Linus: These things happen.
[SMASH CUT TO BLACK]

FLASHBACK
And there he sat; Under the tree there it was, for him to play for the entire vacation.
BENNYMD: How’d you find a Wii during CHRISTMAS?
BRENDA: We got really lucky, I guess.
RICK: There’s about twenty batteries in the box in case you wanna play the entire week straight.
BENNYMD: Thanks, guys.
He hugged them and opened the box, and set it up.
That was one of the good times…
…One of the times when he was off the island.
BACK TO PRESENT
From here on in he had about two choices; pick the un-opened door to go through or to search all the lockers. He decided to take the safe way and look in the lockers for anything providing answers. He opened the first locker slowly and looked inside; there was a vest with a name tag on it: “ROGER: WORK MAN” was on the right side of the vest.
In one of the pockets was a broken key; it had been clear that the other half of the key was burned off with a welding gun. The char marks were visible. BennyMD pocketed the key piece and then checked the next locker.
Then, the voice repeated over and over in his head again. The numbers were being whispered constantly in his mind. He entered the combination on the lock and it opened.
Checking the locker, there was a notebook in it. BennyMD took it and began to read it.
The title on the front read,
“FLIGHT 815 MANIFEST”
[SMASH CUT TO BLACK]


ROY
Immediately his first thought was to check the other lockers that BennyMD had neglected. He climbed out of the water and ran as fast as he could to the lockers.
ROY: OK, I’ll check these lockers.
BENNYMD: …..
He hastily opened the lockers and then checked their contents, one by one. There was a bottom piece of a key, and a few bullets.
For the first time in a while, the both of them felt like they were finally uncovering answers.

The question was, would these answers just surface more questions?
[FADE OUT]






The character iBOCK3 will not star until episode 15. The reason why this character won't star is because of a revealed plot point IN episode 15. So, Jigsaw, BennyMD, Roy, DM, and any new cast members wanting to join will star except him.

A QUICK GLIMPSE OF THINGS TO COME

FLASHBACK
The police swarmed in; Penny’s body was lifted slowly onto a stretcher and then out of the house. Jigsaw was giggling innocently and had no idea what was going on. After bringing Penny out to the rescue, one of the workers picked up Jigsaw and smiled.
RESCUE WORKER: Don’t worry, we’re gonna find you a great home.
BACK TO PRESENT
When he opened his eyes, Jigsaw felt light-headed. He was in a steel-floored room that had one lone wood table in it, and a door.

He had no idea what to do in this odd room…




He sprinted as fast as he could down the metal hallway, and his shoes clanked rhythmically with Roy’s when they both were desperately looking around for Jigsaw.
BENNYMD: Hey, this must be the room he was in!
ROY: Why is there blood on the floor…?
Someone appeared behind them and laughed, a metal noise sounding behind the two of them. Roy fell to the ground first and was paralyzed. BennyMD panicked.
BENNYMD: Don’t taze me, bro!
Benjamin Linus: I’m guessing you’re looking for Jigsaw?
BENNYMD: Why do you ask?
Benjamin Linus: Because your search is futile.

Benjamin Linus tazed BennyMD and dragged the both of them down the hallway.

"DON'T TAZE ME BRO!!!"
Classic.
