OK so they broke the law, but you know, the only real reason they shut him down was because he made a ton of money.

"politicians"  is sufficient to explain all the more important things the government needs to deal with corruption and whatnot.   so in reality, the movie companies were loosing 2-4% of their income every year, and were angry, so they got their lawyers together and earned some money. Simple enough.

I think what sucks about this is I find a lot of cool hacks to try and/or add to the RGR but the patch was only uploaded to megaupload and the authors have never bothered updating to a different storage host.

I had a feeling that something wasn't right about the site, but I'm still kind of bummed out about it anyway. It's kind of a pain if nothing else because a lot of the anime dubbed sites get their episodes and everything from mega upload.

Now I don't think it's right for governments to go messing with things like that, but it was going to happen sooner or later. The worst part is how many legitimate businesses lost their stored data on there. That's right, actual businesses had their data backed up on that site and now it's gone.
