I loved Meta knight in that game.his attacks are powerful.

By far my favorite Smash Character has to be Captain Falcon. For his quick and powerful attacks...FALCON PUNCH!!!

I love using Ness and Lucas. I would say Ness is better all around, at long and close ranges, but Lucas is great at defending himself. Ness also seems a little quicker with his smash attacks, while Lucas's can be easy KOs at low damages. And if I'm messing around with some friends, their PSI attacks are good at trolling. Then again, it also has to do with the games they come from, because they are so fantastic.

I'd say my favourite characters are:

Falco-I love his aerial moves and is aerial down A was majestic in Melee. I feel like they
toned down Falco a bit in Brawl but who wasn't?

Marth- His speed is worth everything

Mario- He's a good all around character and I can deal out some good combos with him.

mine is link then its Mario because link is not fast but he has strong attacks and with his spin attack you can reach places that are high.
and Mario is fast an has some great attacks his final attack is sweet. 

  

Link, he is the only character I have ever used in the game, ( I have tried Sonic once though)

I haven't played Brawl in a while- mostly because my Wii isn't working- but I remember mainly playing as DK, Pokémon Trainer- goat love the three in one, Ness- never really bothered to play as Lucas, not that I'm against it- and pretty much whoever I was put with. I beat a guy while using Jigglypuff once. True story. Also, I'm pretty good with Kirby.
I'll have to start playing again once my Wii starts working and start mastering them all because other than school, I have nothing else to do.

If there's one character that I enjoy playing as more than any other its probably Sonic or Meta Knight because I like their control and attacks.

My favorite Smash Bros Brawl character is Luigi.  Ness, Lucas, and Mario are some other favorites of mine.

Ness and Lucas are pretty much my all. I have a HUGE affection of the Mother series, so that's why.
But mostly Lucas. He is pretty quick, which, to me, means more damage inflicted.
I'd also give Toon Link a 3rd, since he's pretty quick and deal plenty of damage. You can see I'm a fan of the smaller characters.

My favorite, by far, is pichu. from the first smash bros. Once I unlocked him( I believe you unlock him) I used him about 90% of the time!

I actually have a few. There were times I would try to strategize, depending on who my opponent(s) is.

But, my top favourites were Ike, Lucario, Captain Falcon, Lucas, and Samus/Zero Suit Samus.

Overall Mario since I played with him since the first one.  For the new characters in Brawl I would go with Sonic or Toon Link.

I can't pick just one, that's impossible! I can narrow it down to a top five though.

5) Pikachu: Pikachu is a fun character to play as with his powerful attacks and juggling abilities. His final smash I find hard to maneuver though and that's why he's only at five.
4) Captain Falcon: As one of the most powerful characters in the whole game, besides Ganondorf, he is one of the best characters in the game because of his speed and damage levels. FALCON PUNCH!
3) Mr. Game and Watch: God, this character is probably the funniest character in the whole game. His ranged attack is that he flips pancakes and that is perfect. All of his attacks are weapons that you wouldn't usually use, he use's a fish bowl as an attack. His final octopus smash is very effective if used correctly.
2) Kirby: I am best with Kirby, yet he's not my favorite character to use. His attacks are very easy to get the handle of and you can get some really good combos going.
1) Snake: He is one of my favorite video game characters period. He is a really fun character to run and use. He can lay mines, shoot remote control rockets, shoot an RPG on the ground directly in front of him, and shoot a mortar into the air. His arsenal is great, and his final smash is no different. It's probably the most effective final smash in the whole game. 

Kirby although I don't always play as him I am yet to lose a match playing as him. My friends don't even let me play as him sometime ha ha

My favorite character would have to be Marth. He has no ranged attack but I feel like he makes up for it with his B attack combo. My friend who I play the game with always chooses Ness so I can never get close to him without underhand maneuvers.
