Holla!

I'm a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series and still playing Skyrim now since it's been released.
My first house I bought was in Whitherun and I'm still using it as my base (because of it's little distance to the smith and the shops in town). A few hours ago, I got that honor-title-thing in Riften and purchased a house there too. That one seems to be even better!

What houses do you already own in Skyrim?

Are there better equipped ones in the other cities?
I plan to purchase them all, but I'd like to know that, so that I can get the best one right @ the start.

Thx for answering!

I only have one in Whiterun so far.

I haven't really wanted a house in other cities yet, as I use my gold for other things, like extra ore to level up my smithing.

I'm level 33, so it's not like I'm not playing. I just don't want houses.

Bizzgeburt : whiterun, just because its close to jorrvaskr, the skyforge, the items shop, the blacksmith and my wife haha also it's the central point in the map so its a little strategic

I only have the one in Whiterun, and I've fully furnished it with stuff!

I haven't really explored other cities seriously yet, because I'm still leveling and doing off-topic quests with my Nord character, and it's in the level 20's, and with a decent level of Smithing and One-Handed.

All are good, with different challenges and attractive graphics. Sometimes having a lot of choices makes me feel like having no choice at all, and I spend a lot of time in deciding which one should I choose. But whatever it may be Skyrim has provided so many opportunities for exploration and improvement. On crossing every level I feel overwhelmed and extremely happy.

I actually just got the house in Windhelm.

It's actually quite nice.

Side note - the world is much larger than I expected.

Damn, I'm still in Whiterun ^^
Rifton was quite a disappointment. First I thought it's cool with the alchemical and arcane labs but  when I first tried to move some of my stuff there I found no can or anything like that in the basement to stash it.
So I decided to stay in Whiterun, though the house there really has a good "strategic" position, like wrath505 mentioned before.

My Brother is also addicted to this game at the moment, and he discovered a good house in Markarth. It's really big and has a lot of weapon-holders too ^^

The only house you really need is in white run, the others are probably just larger and more expensive, plus there is a store right next to the house.
