Presently no. I'm looking for jobs, but my area has none. Soon I'll likely be moving to an area with more jobs, though, so hopefully I'll luck out. Presently no. I'm looking for jobs, but my area has none. Soon I'll likely be moving to an area with more jobs, though, so hopefully I'll luck out. |

Is the present better than the past (for you), and what are your hopes for the future?

Do you think both Billy Hamilton and Adrian Gonzalz can build off their inredible first few days of the season to have pretty epic seasons and what do you think they can realistically finish off 2015 with in terms of Home Runs for Gon, and SB's for Hamilton? |

The present, I'd say is much better than the past for me... to get into that, a small story. Three years ago, I was My hopes for the future... I plan on moving into an apartment with my girlfriend, and trying to make a life for ourselves. It's thrilling. A perfect day involves a nice cool 50 degrees, constant rain, and nothing important needing to be done. A laze about day where I can relax, and just enjoy life. A close second being a normal day in SoCal, and going to Santa Monica. I'd say about 22 hours, especially during baseball season. For example, my past 24 hours have been as such: 10 hours of baseball (7 hour marathon game last night... not normal game length!), 6 hours of video games, and 8 hours of megamanmaniac : Honestly, I don't think I give enough damns at this point to have one. I'd say change the mod team completely, but that's about all I can think of. If there's a problem with this place, I don't care anymore. No to Billy Hamilton. Yes to Adrian Gonzalez. In terms of homeruns, you can probably expect about 30 for Gonzo. For Billy Hamilton, I'd wager about 70-80. With a lot of CS. He's getting lucky now that catchers aren't popping fast enough, but he'll run into good defensive catchers soon enough. He'll steal more bases than last year, but I think it's a bit much to read into a small sample size of what, 5 games? No to Billy Hamilton. Yes to Adrian Gonzalez. Having 70 would still be pretty epic for a year, and if he does that constantly for say 5 to 10 years, think he'll make it into the hall of fame? |

The thing there is "constantly". I don't think he can do that for 10 straight years... maybe not even 5. And no, even if he was able to, I wouldn't throw him a vote into the HoF, unless everybody died in a plane accident. Baseball is about much more than steals. Let's take a look at Tim Raines. Tim Raines is 5th all time in steals (808) and hit .294/.385/.425 over his career, and even HE isn't getting in the hall. Billy Hamilton, even if he stole 800 bases would have to be able to hit that well to even be considered. And he isn't hitting close to that yet, mind it's early in his career. So far, he's put up a .255/.301/.357 line, which is EXTREMELY below average, especially for an outfielder. The only way he gets into the HoF, on the back of stolen bases, is if he breaks Henderson's career record, which won't happen unless he can consistently steal 80 bases for about 18 straight years (not happening in today's era). Do you like April Fools? What's your least favorite game that everyone else seems to love? Why? What type of member annoys you the most? Like, spammers, flamers, etc. Do you care about reaching milestones? You know, like 5,000 posts, 5,000 CP, anniversaries, etc. If you could, what would be the one member you would perma from Vizzed? Since you were talking about baseball with zanderlex, are there any current Seattle Mariners that you think a sure fire lock into the Hall of Fame as of right now, as long as they don't tank? |

I do. It's a pretty fun day, and I usually prank each of my close friends at least once. My least favorite game that people seem to love is anything in the Halo series. It's just another run of the mill FPS that represents everything I hate about modern FPS games. Retro FPS games had a good formula, then Halo came and f***ed it up forever. The type of member that annoys me most is the type that pesters me, and worships me like I'm a god. I'm just a normal member, and it severely irks me to have anyone giving me special treatment, just because I'm a top 3 poster, a former global moderator, and the lord of IT. I used to when I was younger. But as of right now, I couldn't care less. I'll make posts to celebrate significant milestones (whenever I hit 25,000 for example), but they no longer hold any special meaning to me, and are just that. Milestones. I don't really know. I can't think of one off the top of my head. There are a lot of people I'd ban, and I'd want to use the one perma wisely. thing1 : On the current active roster, there's only one who is even plausible (let alone likely). Felix Hernandez. He's been a top 5 pitcher in baseball for the past decade, he's only JUST turned 29, and could probably pitch until he's 38-40. If he pitches another decade at even half of his current ability level, he'll threaten for 250 wins, 4000 IP, 3500 strikeouts, and one of the better K/BB ratios in baseball. For the record, that's only if he plays at half strength. If he were able to play at his current level, he'd potentially hit 4000 strikeouts (but I doubt it). Those numbers would put him in the upper echelon of Hall of Fame pitchers. 253 wins would make him an average HoF pitcher, but those numbers are skewed by Cy Young, Walter Johnson, and other older legends, who were able to get to 300 and beyond with ease. Now, it's practically impossible to get to 300 wins, given the 5 man rotation. You'd have to win 20 games a season for fifteen straight years. There's a reason why it doesn't happen anymore. What's most worth looking at as far as numbers is the strikeouts... 3500 would put him in the top 10, above Greg Maddux and Pedro Martinez (the latter who could have gone higher, but injuries unfortunately claimed him). But speaking of Maddux... the more I look at Felix, the more I think he's today's version of Maddux (and Pedro too). Maddux through his age 28 season (which Felix just finished) had the following numbers: 8.1 H/9, 0.5 HR/9, 2.5 BB/9, 6.1 K/9. Felix through age 28 season: 8.0 H/9, 0.7 HR/9, 2.5 BB/9, 8.5 K/9. Just for shiggles, here's Pedro through age 28: 6.7 H/9, 0.7 HR/9, 2.5 BB/9, 10.4 K/9 Looking at those numbers, I see a pitcher who is the middle ground between Maddux (early Maddux, late Maddux had ungodly control, which Felix does not have, but could as he gets older) and Pedro. He's like Maddux and Pedro in every respect except strikeouts. As hard as it is to believe, Felix isn't even sniffing Pedro's jock strap there. Numbers only tell us so much though. Felix is an important part of baseball history that NEEDS to be remembered. If he doesn't get injured, and continues to do what he does best, then he'll get there no problem. But he's the only current Mariner that even merits consideration. The next most worthy player is probably Robinson Cano, but he's 32 and has yet to establish himself as all that deserving. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I think he would have been much more likely to make it if he had stayed with the Yankees, since that stadium is made for him. Even if Cano gets into the Hall, it won't be as a Mariner, unless he does something super special in Seattle. He's a Yankee going into the Hall, if at all. greenluigi - The unluckiest day of my life was probably when I almost died in a race. I do. He's a Yankee going into the Hall, if at all. greenluigi - The unluckiest day of my life was probably when I almost died in a race. |

greenluigi : Failed summon, I think. What do you think of TdV? Do you think fame is overrated? Why? When do you start to notice newer members? What's your favorite video game franchise? ZeroTails : It's alright, I checked the answer before because he left a comment on my profile, saying that when he answered, I asked the question at the same time. So, he edited the post. Thanks, anyway. |

What about any previous Mariners? Such as Edgar, Jay Buhner, Ichiro and A-Rod ( when they retire ), or The Big Unit? And any others you may think of. What is the first stat? What do they all mean? the /9 part I am assuming means per 9 innings, but Felix doesn't give up 8 hits per 9 innings, so I must be wrong. What is the first stat? I don't like it. It kills my desire to come to Vizzed, let alone post. It's my least favorite month of the three month cycle (my favorite being the month before a TDV). If it would go away, my enjoyment of the site would increase tenfold. I do. Would you want people following you around, knowing everything you are doing at all hours of the day? I like my privacy, and I felt it violated when I was only Vizzed famous, to speak nothing of what REAL fame would be like. I notice them when they start making waves and stop being newbies. Usually I'm indifferent to them, but there have been some people in the past year or two to break into my circle by not sucking (look at EideticMemory who might be one of my better friends here). My favorite video game franchise is a toss up between MLB the Show (love baseball) and Uncharted (Nathan Drake is a bad-ass). thing1 : Edgar Martinez is a fringe candidate. I'd vote for him, because I also think David Ortiz belongs in the Hall. And I think both were similar enough to say that if one gets in, the other has to, and if one doesn't get in, the other shouldn't. Jay Buhner, absolutely not. For starters, he's already had his chance and didn't get in for a reason. He's like Nomar in a sense. A good player, but not a Hall of Fame worthy player. By the numbers, if he got in, so should Pat Burrell (who is definitely NOT a HoF level player). Ichiro will get into the HoF, and will almost certainly be in as a Mariner, although there's an outside chance he becomes the first player to be inducted with an Orix Blue Wave/Buffalos cap, considering his status as one of the best Japanese baseball players to ever play the game. His candidacy is a lock. Counting Japan stats, he has 4000 professional hits, and he has a good chance to get 3000 MLB hits despite starting at the age of 27. He's the single season hits record holder, has nearly 500 SB, and played the game the right way. There's no question he gets in. It's just a matter of if he gets in as a Mariner, or if they choose to honor his foreign roots instead. I'd go with the latter, simply because it would be unique, and I truly believe that with no Blue Wave, there's no Ichiro. A-Rod will also be a HoF player, one way or another, though I speculate he'll make it in as a Yankee. He'll probably get in the same way Clemens/Bonds get in. By being pushed through by people who stop caring about steroids, or by the Veterans Committee. The reason he'd go in as a Yankee is pretty clear. For starters, he's played 11 seasons with them (and counting!) on top of having his best numbers (surprisingly) with them as well, despite being past his "prime" for many of those years. It is impossible to ignore how good he was in 2004-2008 with the Yankees. He hit .303/.401/.573 with a 153 OPS+ over those 5 years (to give you an idea of what a 153 OPS+ is, that's basically what Edgar Martinez was over his career). He won 2 of his 3 MVPS there (the other in his last year in Texas), and helped lead the 2009 Yankees to a World Series title. To me, there's no question that he belongs in the Hall, and that the Yankees mean more to him than the Mariners or Rangers (where he only played 3 years) ever did. He may have had his start in Seattle, but he went from All-Star to Legend in New York. EDIT - The Big Unit is already in the HoF. H/9 is Hits per 9, HR/9 is Home Runs per 9, BB/9 is Walks per 9, and K/9 is strikeouts per 9. I don't like it. It kills my desire to come to Vizzed, let alone post. I have a special username. You might notice at times, that some users have custom colors. sonicmcmuffin is green, geeogree is white... my username is sort of like that. Not only does my name feature two colors in the name itself (geeo also has two colors, but his second is in the lines) which is unique, but it also has special conditions for appearing (unlike other custom colors). It appears after a certain amount of times the name is viewed. As a result, it's possible to see my name once, twice, or not at all on a page. I got it a while back, and it is the only username of its kind. As far as I know, it isn't allowed to have a username like mine, just like it isn't allowed to have a username like David or geeo's. Depends when MM ends. If it ends by the end of April, I'll probably throw together a quick game of Mafia. If it takes until mid May, I might just hold off a few weeks and start up Vizzed Camp (next year is Survivor). Really depends on how fast you guys finish. Depends when MM ends.
